Hi there!

I'm not a really advanced user on BIOS modding even thou I tried and failed 3 times to edit the original bios is my XFX GTS RX 580 8gb XXX (Samsung memories) to a good performance mining BIOS.
The original only makes 27Mh/s and I'm not being capable of doing a good work on this matter. I wouldn't mind to pay $10 for a modded bios to 31mh/s but I don't trust the sites appearing on Google in bunches.

Can someone please help me and post a modded BIOS for good mining performance? I would be glad to give a contribution for it.

The original bios is downloadable on the following link:

Many thanks in advance

Every modded BIOS are edited in every way a patience person finds the best spot for mining using msi afterburner, seriously you don't need to mod BIOS, you can do everything yourself using msi afterburner and AMD wattman, what type of memory your gpu has? Not size, to know you have to download GPU-Z and check, could be samsung, hynix, micron

They're Samsung memories, as mentioned in OP.
Samsung K4G80325FC · 113-58085SSD2-W90
I use HiveOS on my rigs so, no access to wattman and Afterburner, but on HiveOS we can also edit memory timings. The thing is that I'm not experienced enough to make it right.

I thought one can flash bios right in hiveOS interface? Give SMOS a try or minerstat, you should be able to flash bios in this OS instead of looking for other ways, it would have been so easy if you are using Windows OS because I have the right settings for samsung memory RX580 GPUS to get 30mh per second

Hello,

sorry to open this case again,
but I got a similiar question.

I recently bought myself a used XFX RX 580 GTS XXX Edition (113-58085SSD2-W90).
I think the previous owner of the card tried to change the BIOS Settings in the Performance Mode and it seems like he failed to improve the Performance, rather brought the GPU to a state, in which it crashes after a few Minutes.

Stock Mode works fine.

I already flashed the Stock BIOS to the Performance and it works now,
but only with 7 Mh/s (ETH)...

I searched for like two days and couldn´t find a working Performance / Mining BIOS for the 113-58085SSD2-W90... Sad

Does somebody of you know, where I could find a good Mining BIOS for my Card?

Thank you Smiley

Download proper bios from techpowerup and flash it back. You dont need any bios mode to get 30mhs.
After that turn compute mode on and apply on amd driver fast memory timing 1 or 2 then make your oc and be happy, there is no need mess with bios for polaris cards anymore. good luck

Another miner who forgot to enable compute mode
I can’t imagine what you or the old owner did with the native bios. For mining, you just need to change a few straps, the rest of the settings can be done in the miner or the operating system for mining, for example, in Hive os.

Thank you very much for your replies.

I´m a beginner and this is my first GPU for mining,
I can´t speak for the old owner, but before I posted here, I didn´t mess with the BIOS, I only tried to find a fitting ROM Wink.

I bought this Card to add it to a Mining Rig of a friend of mine,
I brought him the Card, after a few days he told me that the "Performance BIOS" is broken and he can´t use the GPU like this.

Because of his statement, all I tried was to fix the BIOS and because of my lack of knowledge I didn´t know about the Compute Mode and as batsonxl suggested,
activating the Compute Mode did the trick.

Thank you all very much! Smiley

You could not sell the video card for another six months, and you would pay for your video card one more time.
BIOS of different brands does not differ much in settings,
As such, I've seen a lot of experiments with bios from other video cards. The most important thing is to save your native BIOS and have a programmer to flash your native BIOS in case of a breakdown.
