Cardano's Ada received a fresh wave of optimism and buying volume on Feb. 26 that pushed its price to a new all-time high of $1.29, making it the third-ranked cryptocurrency by market capitalization.

Data from Cointelegraph Markets and TradingView shows that Ada surged 27% from a low of $0.98 during the early trading hours on Feb. 26 to its new high at $1.29 on record trading volume.

it seems that the fight for the top 10 in coinmarketcap is a long way from having altcoins that remain in that top 10 for years, which leads me to the question:

Some people see ADA's market soar as a P&D but I think the effect was because of their 3/1 launch news and people are starting to get onboard early.

My major concern is if there are projects building on top of Carnado, what I heard was Celsius Network but I'm not really sure. However, I think creating NFTs on top of Carnado is gonna happen and it's gonna boost up ADA's potential, similar to a DeFi/NFT game that I pre-registered to get NFT rewards.

Some crazy price action going on right now. I just sold the ADA I held close to the top this morning as I think it's going to plummet once all the FOMO is over.

Got ~4x return which is good enough for me. Not that bad a return having gotten in only this year in January.

I'll be watching from the sidelines and might throw some money in again if the price plummets.

I could see both ADA and BNB going down in price and being replaced by USDT in terms of market cap. Whatever happens, it's going to be an interesting next few weeks in the market.

The current ADA valuation is hype, no developers polled want to program on haskel. The only way for smart contracts to be successful on Cardano is if they build something that normal people can use, a lego smart contract where users fill in the blanks and the smart contract is issued. The first blockchain that does this will take a huge market share.

I am quite surprised to see ADA can beat BNB in the top three. I think the position will not stable as BNB can increase and try to take over the top three positions back as before. And if you ask about how long ADA can be able to stay at the top three, there is no right answer as many things will going happen in the crypto market. Who knows BNB can back to the top three or DOT can lift the position because that will be a mystery to us to know for sure. I am too quite surprised that ADA is above BNB, certainly there is a hype and I also think it won't be able to hold that position. I have not heard about any new development from the developer s or any news but what I am able to deduce is that it is getting manipulated as it falls under cheaper coins.

I have the strong feeling that BNB will surpass ADA in the next few months. BNB has very aggressive promotion in the market and the projects that they are introducing are one after another. If BSC network will attract more projects in the next succeeding months, because of its minimal fees, BNB will get a hold of top 3 position.

Cardano can easily knock down by USDT, especially if Bitcoin to dump or we will be entering the bear market.
If you experienced the previous bear market, we saw the USDT really gaining a huge market cap? It is maybe because a lot of people converting their cryptocurrencies to USDT temporarily.
Cardano will be like BNB recently, after few days in the Top 3 it being replaced.

so we heard. well, it's just like any other platform though. can't say the difference except from what they claimed to be the most decentralized and have solved the problem of ETH which is the selling point of this project. this is an early stage of ADA which is why it has plenty of room for price growth. $1 or $2 could even be just the start of the spike until we see the realization of the smart contract and the defi projects under its wings.

ADA won't stay there for long, with the pressure from BNB.

The new altcoins from this new generation are repeating what Ethereum, Ripple, DASH, Stellar Lumens in 2017 and 2018. They will see terrible crashes when the altcoin year ends. After my few years in crypto, I lost my belief on any promise from teams, developers about any evolution from blockchain, technology, financial changes can be brought from a crypto project.

Surprisingly ADA is perhaps the only coin in the market that is growing nicely because market is undergoing correction and most of the coins are in red so i would say be careful as ada is pumping because of update expected on 1st March after that it can correct sharply as well.

I think it will be very difficult for ADA to overcome ETH in terms of position on coinmarketcap

the current scenario we have:

ADA Market cap: $38,441,093,488

ETH market cap: $155,946,939,291

in my opinion ADA is temporarily in position 3 because of this update

I agree, what else hurts and shocks Is see that after collecting money from people, the developers of the projects leave bitcointalk and start doing tourism in various places and countries and the development of the project is slow or non-existent for years and always the creators of the project stay making up some excuse on twitter

I agree... whenever dump, USDT enter the scene and start the bull run to also take the top in the coinmarketcap. this market is funny:

1- when the bitcoin price starts to rise, the tether is not heard

2 - When the bitcoin price starts to drop a lot, Tether enters the scene and starts a big bull run in the first places in the coinmarketcap
