FAQ
Q: What is VRAMe?
A: VRAMe is a PCIe device that expands the address space of video memory due to RAM cards plugged into it.
Q: Will I be able to mine coins with a DAG file larger than the video memory on my cards?
A: Yes, depending on the connected RAM cards. You can connect a separate RAM card to each video card and get a common address space where any DAG file can easily fit.
Q: Will my hashrate decrease on such video cards?
A: Yes. The Dagger Hashimoto algorithm is very sensitive to the video memory bandwidth. And since the PCIe interface is much slower than the native bus of the video card, you will get a hashrate reduction.
Q: How much will the hashrate decrease?
A: Depending on your graphics cards. The more internal video memory they have, the less hashrate losses will be. When tested in the current DAG epoch, we got a decrease of 10-15% (4Gb VRAM card)
Q: Why do I need it then?
A: Just compare the profitability. Even with 70% efficiency, you can make very good profits.
Q: Okay. Can I use old video cards with 2GB of video memory?
A: Yes, but their efficiency will be greatly reduced due to insufficient bandwidth. If your profit in this case is higher than the cost of power supply, you can safely use them.
Q: How can I buy VRAMe and when will I receive my purchased device?
A: VRAMe will initially be sold for our own token. You can find out about the possibility of purchasing it and related discounts on our website. Further, after we send all the purchased devices, we will sell them for fiat money.
Q: Will the fiat price be very different?
A: Yes. In addition to receiving our own profit, we will distribute the profit between token holders.
Q: Why do you need to issue your token?
A: Very simple. Ordering even 1000 devices, which is clearly not enough to cover the possible market, will cost us more than $ 100,000. We simply do not have such free funds.
Q: You have a rather complicated sales scheme. Why?
A: We want as many devices as possible to reach direct users. Therefore, we have divided the volume of issued tokens into two main phases and one additional one. This almost guarantees that interested miners will be able to order VRAMe from us, and not from resellers.
Q: Are the dates indicated on your website accurate?
A: Yes. We will seriously shorten the time for writing the firmware to the devices and the subsequent mailing of VRAMe to customers, thanks to the presence of our engineering group directly next to the electronics factory, which agreed to accept our order.
Q: Could the terms be shortened, for example, if the presale is quickly redeemed, and during the sale on the exchange, the demand for the token will be higher than the quantity you have?
A: Yes. In this case, we will simply pay for the order faster, receive it faster, write the firmware and send it to customers.
Q: What platform will your token be created on?
A: We choose. If the cost of gas from ETH remains as high, we would rather choose XLM or WAVES.
Q:What are your plans for the future?
A: We're going to create the next VRAMe device in a riser form factor. This will reduce the loss of hashrate during use and abandon additional software, but unfortunately, the price of such VRAMe risers will be quite high, due to the use of an FPGA controller on each device. At the moment we are monitoring the market and looking for a way to reduce the cost of production.
