I think if someone holding from early 2010 till today then he or she definitely lose chance to get more profit. I personally own bitcoin since few years ago when the price still below $1000 and of course I have following market trend. I always sells my bitcoin when the price is high and buy it again when it price cheaper. But may be there are some people who buy bitcoin and then forget it because they are busy with their activity, I think once they remember it then their live will be change. They wil be rich.

Personally I do not know anyone who had known bitcoin in 2010 itself or being holding from that point, but sure we will have quite a few who would have just kept and forgotten or just kept holding the bitcoin and now would just be millionaire if they had bought few coins also at that point of time.

It is a rare thing to be honest and kudos to that person if he/she still has been hodling been bitcoin since 2010 without the temptation to sell it during the periods where we saw ATH. Forgotten coins are definitely a possibility but we don't have to worry about something that is already lost.

If you were mining in 2010 and didn't lose your keys or get wiped out by Mt Gox (which would have been easy, because they were the easiest/only online wallet option at the time) you have to have some of your coins hanging around.

I can't believe that anyone who was here in 2010 would have sold everything at any of the peaks we've seen. If you were here in 2010 you were mining, which means you likely have 100s or 1000s of coins. It's easy to do well taking some of that off the table when we hit $1000, $10000, or $20000 and leave more in the wallet for the "rainy day" that is 2020-2021.

I hope that most people who were involved in 2010 had an honest belief that we could see what we see today. That the vision could become reality. And cheers to those people and their stealth wealth!

I think it is difficult to ignore the profitability of Bitcoin because it has increased hundreds of thousands of times since 2010.With such a terrible profit, who will be able to hold back their greed not to sell their Bitcoin.l(?!?). I assume a person does not sell their Bitcoin unless they forget their Bitcoin or they have many different Bitcoin addresses and they have contingency calculations for future use.  Or maybe someone bought Bitcoin before going to jail and maybe they're in jail waiting for their release to be able to use their bitcoins.

This guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3 and maybe some of the early pioneers who left the forum a long time ago.

I doubt someone else would publicly declare it now for privacy and security reasons. It will be an open invitation for hacking and other attacks.
agree with you that the founder of this forum must have owned Bitcoin when the price was $ 0.01...

btw I'm curious about the account;
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2

those who are registrants 1 - 10,000 or a little bit more I think own Bitcoin from the very beginning.

BIG WINNER!

is there someone holding  bitcoin from early 2010   when the price is around 0.01 and still not selling today?    just wondering?
I don't think so that there will be someone who is holding bitcoin since year 2010 up to now because on the succeeding years of bitcoin there is a huge pump of it in which the value of bitcoin turns into thousands so there's a huge possibility that the holders on that year 2010 will be able to sell their holdings when the price surge happens and just think about on the ath on the year 2017 at $20,000 there's a huge possibility during that time is that the holders sell all of their holdings because that is the first time the bitcoin soar very high.

I think there is no one who buy Bitcoin by 0.01 and holding then till now. Every trader or investors sell their coin when its price increase 2x, 3x and highest 10x. No one wants to get risk. Because there is risk Everytime to decrease price. Everybody buy and sell coin when price down and up. Nobody hold any coin 10 years. It's quite impossible to hold 10 years by a man.

IIRC, Hal is one of those people who have said to give it to his children. If his children is still holding it today, they're silent wealthy people.

You have to think someone is.  There are a lot of original wallets with bitcoin that hasn't moved.  Is that on old hard drives or someone with iron hands...no one will know unless they move at some point.  One would like to hope so but definatepy hard not to sell at these prices now lol.

I don not think if there are still holding bitcoin since 2010 until now, If there is then maybe that is already a confidential matter to the beholder. This issue is very confidential since having at least 1 BTC can make a person rich. I have 1 BTC last 2015 but I did come into thinking that the value went like this so I decided to sell it since I am in the need of money during those time. Anyway that already have helped me so still okay.

I don't think that there is someone who bought BTC in early 2010 and still holding it until now, that is quite impossible because no one knows that bitcoin could reach $60k right now. No one expects that it would happen so for sure those who bought bitcoin that year have sold their bitcoin when there is a bit of movement with the value of bitcoin.

Maybe only people who forget to save their private keys and find them again this year are capable of holding Bitcoin from 2010. Because if a normal
person would have sold their Bitcoin when they were profitable, because the Bitcoin status is still not legalized in many countries. Many people are
afraid that Bitcoin will die or its price will fall to zero, if I know the price of Bitcoin can be as high as now, I will definitely be holding Bitcoin from 2010.

Hi.. I know a few friends who are holding coins from 2013. I got my first coins in 2017, when Bitcoin was still not very popular as an investment option. It has been 4 years since I made my first Bitcoin purchase and I have got returns of 60x-65x. Back then I used to regret about not investing in Bitcoin earlier. But now I realize that I was one of the lucky few to make the investment when Bitcoin was still in three digits.

There are some but I'm pretty sure they had already cash out some of their holdings.

The most popular names in crypto which made their fortune from bitcoin and had established a business, they are still holding until now but there are also people who just secretly enjoy their holding as they do not need to work harder just to make a living knowing bitcoin is already very popular now.

I am someone who purchased my coins in 2012, and I would say that more than 90% would have either cashed out, or lost their coins years ago. Even I ham now holding only around 20% of my original stash. I lost some to various Ponzi schemes, and I sold a large number of coins in 2015 and 2016, when the exchange rates were really low. Back then, no one really thought that Bitcoin would hit $60,000 per coin.

There is a wave of newbie who are now entering the bitcointalk forum asking only for help recovering the wallet password, private key or seed they had been holding on to for so long before they left. Some of them may have become bitcoin fans when they were very cheap between 2010-2015, and now they are back after bitcoin hit ATH with high hope of getting rich quick. If some of these newbie manage to get the bitcoin, I'm sure they'll be as excited as hitting the jackpot.

I don't want to talk about my long not spent bitcoin satoshi holding, but I think some of the people around here still keep them without spending them. As many have said, we don't know how many people still hold bitcoin until now that haven't been spent since 2010.

If they manage to open a private lock or seed then of course it is a jackpot that has never been expected before because they used to leave because they do not know what will happen in the future so that the demand may increase with rewards for those who have been able to open it the wallet first.
But I admit that now a lot of people are returning to crypto because they want their bigger profits to come with the excitement of seeing ATH prices being so high, so this will be one pretty much demand if prices stay above high for long.

Lucky for those who do able to make some recovery but for sure most of them that do held off on that early 2010 had most likely able to sold out when bitcoin hits up a few tens or hundreds of dollars.
Basing off with those success stories on getting rich with bitcoin then they do sell off on earlier time basis which means they dont able to maximize on the price that we do have today.
If there are people whom do able to manage to hold that long then its really an amazing thing that they do able to withstand all the challenges that they had experience on this market
its neither intentional or just simply they do forget out that they've been holding some coins wayback.Lucky if they do able to recover it up.
