Avalanche AVAX discussion

What is your take on Avalanche AVAX? Looks like an interesting project, from my home town, with a lot of potential and possible competition to ETH, ADA, and DOT. However, the rollout of the updates has been slow thus far. Another issue is that it is not listed on major exchanges (at least here in the US). I am curious to see what others think, could be a gem to invest long-term even at the current price.

Great Project overall but has a long way to go. New consensus mechanism is a nice welcome to the space. I don't look at the price per say, even Emir stated that. What I look at is the functionality of it.

I really do not understand why Avalanche is not gaining traction like Solano and Polkadot, also there are only few developers working on the chain now, the projects shows promising but has failed to capitalized when it matter most and all these Ethereum Layer solutions are pushing the need for Alternative chains into background

From my perspective, Compared to DOT and Solana, Avalanche or AVAX they don't provide any significant updates latelty and yes, as you said, only a few developers are active at the moment where Polkadot, which is my favorite, is intensively providing new Significant updates, on their chain More than 130+ Contributors on Github too which is have a Solid Community. It's a unfortunate that Avax isn't very optimal lately but I think it seems to be an internal (?) problem, Let's hope AVAX give us new significant update in the future.

Its not that they are failed. The avalanche ecosystem still got a boost and a lot og projects circulating on their network too. I dont think they are failed, if its about thr price then you can see how much percentage they had increase since their launch. From $0.5 still got a good price now.

I believe its too early to judge them as they keep improving and developing the platform.

In general Avalanche (AVAX) is a good coin, but if for now comparing it to compete with ETH, ADA, and DOT, I think it's too big to fight and also too optimistic to say, because the three coins you mentioned are not coins yesterday afternoon or a new child was born, so this is what must be understood really.
