Ivy bridge cpu about to be overclocked is running only 185 h/s running xmrig. What should I try to improve the rate before over clocking?

What cpu model is this exactly?

You don't need to overclock your CPU to get better hashrate, do research on huge page file, activate this and see 20% to 30% boost in mining, though I only try this when I was mining Monero years ago, I'm sure it still works, start from here https://xmrig.com/docs/miner/hugepages

I added 16gb of ram up from the 8gb it had yesterday. Xmrig is mining xmr at nanopool east at 1374 h/s now

NiceHash new benchmark is 1487 h/s using xmrig. It would be nice if I could get that rate on nanopool using only xmrig

You can mine on nanopool using xmrig, I don't see any problem here.

You can mine on nanopool using xmrig, I don't see any problem here. Yeah it’s not as fast as NiceHash hashes for some strange reason. I’m guessing my xmrig config file isn’t optimal

How many cores are you using to mine? The lesser the better, use 3 out of the 4cores for mining and see if that increase your performance without overclocking, using all cores will reduce hashrate for sure

NiceHash uses XMRig too, so the difference comes from config.

NiceHash uses XMRig too, so the difference comes from config. Yeah I assumed that and I have tried running xmrig from the NiceHash folder only changing to my wallet and it’s about the same rate as my config. Makes me wonder does NiceHash exaggerate the hash rate?

Try enabling HW AES. Google says your proc has it but only way to be sure.....

I've learned a lot in the last few days this cpu is running over 1500 h/s on xmrig now NiceHash new benchmark is 1487 h/s using xmrig. It would be nice if I could get that rate on nanopool using only xmrig
