ETH now available on Amazon Managed Blockchain!

Now after bitcoin and Binance hype, we are hearing good news from ETH finally!

According to Amazon Web Services, or AWS, users now have the ability to “provision Ethereum nodes” and connect to the blockchain’s mainnet in addition to the Ropsten and Rinkeby testnets through the Amazon Managed Blockchain. The program claims to offer secure access to the network with “standard open-source Ethereum APIs” and sync to the Ethereum blockchain.

“Amazon Managed Blockchain monitors node health, replaces unhealthy nodes, and automates Ethereum software upgrades, improving the availability of customers’ Ethereum infrastructure,” said the firm. “In addition to DeFi applications, customers building analytical products such as smart contract monitoring tools and fraud detection software can also benefit from this scalable, highly available, and fully managed Ethereum service.”

AWS first launched its Amazon Managed Blockchain in April 2019, saying at the time customers would be able to set up blockchain networks within their organizations and use the Ethereum and Hyperledger open-source frameworks. The service claimed it could eliminate the need "to provision hardware, install software, create and manage certificates for access control, and configure network settings."

The move comes exactly one month following Jeff Bezos announcing he would be stepping down as Amazon CEO in the third quarter of 2021. He will be replaced by Andy Jassy, who is currently the CEO of Amazon Web Services and oversaw the company’s crypto product offerings.

Sounds like smart move after seeing this news - Amazon Managed Blockchain now supporting Ethereum. Now, I'm waiting when Lambo! Just wonder how much Amazon charge for this service? Any thoughts?

I remember when Paypal received bitcoin last October (iirc), and it didn't have much effect on the bitcoin price even if we know Paypal has more functions than Amazon.

I don't think the ETH case will make any difference. What I understand from this news, Amazon only makes use of the ETH blockchain in its platform. I don't know technically whether this will impact the traffic congestion of eth mainnet later on.

I hope that Amazon's contribution will make Ethereum more expansive for us to continue to be its users. because this is expected to be a new alternative, or maybe the cost will be cheaper than today. well that's the hope of all traders seeing Ethereum's GAS fees not persistently tormenting us who are only small traders. of course there is a possibility for ethereum to reach more than $2500 because of this news, but maybe not in fast mode mate
maybe in mid term, because eth fees still high enough and this could be the main cause why this news not give a huge impact in fast mode

Cryptocurrency is a speculation market, the good news is among the thing that positively influences the price of the market and with or without the support of Amazon the investors will get more confident because crypto is going to the verge of going to the moon and the only naive individual won't see it coming. Doubt that, it's just AWS offering service and nothing more. Also, majority of people aren't really that knowledge able to take advantage of this service therefore might have a really little impact.
But, it's still a good thing for ETH to get recognized by amazon maybe because sooner or later they gonna need to accept it anyway, but I doubt it could even make the price goes beyond $2000

i think that paypal did help btc alot not only by paypal alone but paypal influence other companies to start doing the same with btc . paypal and amazon are both known and big companies but paypal works different and the case of amazon with eth is also different based on the qoute that we read in the op . the announcement of eth partnered with amazon is a good news but what about the outcome of this ? because eth has a slow network and what if this slowness can be pass to the amazon server/network .

I think for ETH to reach $2k, bitcoin will have to go to $60k as we all know that bitcoin's spike could bring altcoins together. It was still a great recognition knowing that it was came from Amazon, and i know ethereum deserves to be recognize isn't it. Unfortunately, some of us here are waiting for a high impact of ethereum being recognizelike DOGE coin after Elon Musk used it in his tweets that will reflect to its market value but somehow it isn't yet reflected through, maybe i guess it may take some time to be able to register the impact of AWS in ethereum or maybe not. Let's just wait for the result of this.

AWS? It's quite expensive for the clients I know already use them before but it's not fixed and you can always try some parts of some levels of the service. All I know is that you can even pay as low as $100 per month for Pay-as-you-use but for most companies in Asia that's way too expensive. Not sure why they'd go for Ethereum though.

Same news have different effects if they are released at different times of the general market and of one coin. Bitcoin and Ethereum was lifted up too high and they need correction. Even good news like that, can not help them rise up more immediately.

If you recall to what effects the Libra news brought to bitcoin, it is the right time to pump crypto market after months of bearish. A vague news from Libra heated the market and moved it up.

The market now is heated a lot and top 2 coins as Bitcoin and Ethereum will have a long correction. Capital will not stay in them for long and other smaller altcoins will move up.

Isnt before its AWS already can be used for creating Ethereum nodes like another server provider?
I think its just an upgrade which you can create instant node by a simple setting because its already supported by AWS, not a great news.
