Do I get this correctly: user earned fixed token for posting questions, and others also earned some token for answering the question? So who'll buy the token?
Hey, thanks for asking. So, here's how its supposed to work. There are a few important factors that will come into play. We have calculated this entire system very carefully. For asking question: The users will be rewarded 0.2 ANSR tokens *after* the "best answer" is selected on any question. For instance, someone just signs up and start adding questions on Answerly. He still won't earn anything, unless those questions are answered by other users because the best answer reward and question reward will be distributed at the same time (please check question locking section on the WP). The reward for "asking questions* is fixed (0.2 ANSR) no matter what user level your account has. Answering reward: This reward depends upon the user's user level. Levels range from 1-5. A new user starts with User Level 1 and he will earn a reward of 1 ANSR token for every *Best answer*. Once he has at least 10 Best Answers, he can upgrade his user level to 2. In order to upgrade his user level from 2->3, the user needs to have 50 best answers etc. From Level 3->4, the user needs to have 100 best answers. Similarly, from Level 4->5 the user needs to have 1000 best answers. On average, 15-20% of answers will be selected as Best Answers (assuming that the answer is well-written and detailed). Here are the best answer rewards on each level. Level 1: 1 ANSR token / best answer Level 2: 2 ANSR token / best answer Level 3: 3 ANSR token / best answer Level 4: 4 ANSR token / best answer Level 5: 5 ANSR token / best answer Now, coming to the most important part - Who will buy the token?Basically everyone, because you need to make User level upgrade payment in ANSR tokens. The user may use his earned tokens "OR" buy ANSR tokens from Stellar Dex. So, long story short. In order to seriously scale your earnings, you need to upgrade your user level. For doing that, you need to fulfill 2 requirements: 1. Have enough "best answer" to upgrade 2. Make the payment in ANSR tokens to upgrade (assuming that you've already fulfilled the 1st requirement) Here's another important thingNone of these tokens (that users pay for upgrading their user level) will be counted as *Revenue*. These tokens will be rolled back into the circulation. As for Answerly's revenue - we earn by selling pro-membership packages. These packages range from $10-30 per month. These are optional but can be really helpful for further scaling your earnings and some additional perks that can be useful for promoting your business. I highly recommend you to check out our whitepaper. Hope this answers your query

Since i repeatedly see "best answer", is there no "best question" selection? So the user is free to ask anything regardless the quality of the question? There should be an anti-spam filter that will reject repeated questions, or some kind of reduced in reward if asked repeatedly, of course this weakness will be exploited by people later.

Now, coming to the most important part - Who will buy the token?
Basically everyone, because you need to make User level upgrade payment in ANSR tokens. The user may use his earned tokens "OR" buy ANSR tokens from Stellar Dex.
So basically, the only use case for ANSR tokens is to purchase level upgrades on your platform? What if there's not enough interest? What if it isn't profitable to spend your time and energy purchasing tokens to buy level upgrades? If a crypto-currency has no intrinsic value, what is it?

It's not something wrong, though, just pointing out the obvious. Like @mandor, I am also curious about spam filter. One thing that keeps crossing my mind is how you plan to prevent people from abusing the system by asking "what day is today?" or "what number comes after 1?" to reap the reward.

Hey, thanks for your question. We thought about this for some time and we believe that it only makes sense to have "Best answer" to any question. Technically, there is no such thing as best question so our only challenge is to prevent the users from asking duplicate and non-sensical questions on answerly. We've planned 2 anti-spam strategies to this problem. 1. As soon as someone posts a question, it will be forwarded to the moderation team of Answerly. Moderation team will either approve the question or reject it. If the team decides to reject the question, they will also list down the reason for doing it. The questioner will be informed about the status of his question in the notification section. 2. If you've signed up to Answerly, you may have noticed something called "Credits". This is basically a limit to how many questions and answers a user can post. As a free user, you will get 30 credits per month, which you can use to post 30 questions, 30 answers, or a combination of both. In order to increase this limit to 100, 500 and 750 credits / month, the user will have to subscribe for the pro-membership that costs $10-30 (respectively). This will ensure safety from spam. So technically, the users cant sign-up and start posting thousands of questions because he will run out of credits after 30 questions. Also, those 30 questions will first be approved by the moderation team. I hope this answers your query. And ads. I see that the pro packages include a "no ads" benefit, so there is a plan to populate the site with ads. It's not something wrong, though, just pointing out the obvious.

Hey, yes there will be ads at some point. But we didn't mention it as our primary source of revenue because there has to be millions of answered questions and high amount of organic traffic before self-serving ads could be implemented on Answerly. We are sure to get there someday - but for now, we decided to overlook ads until we hit the initial milestones Now, coming to the most important part - Who will buy the token?

Surprisingly, we're getting almost 33% conversion from the Search engine traffic and around 18% conversion from the overall website visitors. The new visitors are spending around 4.5 minutes on the website. These numbers look really solid at this stage. The current version of Answerly is probably the minimum usable product. This may take another 3-4 months until we make implement all planned features, removing bugs, fixing designs *where required*. Hopefully we will get there slowly. Moreover, Answerly tokens (for now) can only be used to upgrade user level. We can't say much about the ads right now because there isn't enough content on Answerly. However, When (and if) we surpass 1 million answered questions on Answerly, we can also integrate self-serving ads where the advertisers will pay for ads through Answerly tokens. That being said, Its too soon to think about ads.

Secondly, The payment links are forwarded to the user's email which they can use to claim their earnings on Lobstr. We've partnered up with Lobstr.co to prevent any this issue with duplicate accounts (emails, sms verification etc). We're using Twilio for sms verification which pretty much limits all blacklisted mobile numbers. This would prevent any user to use SMS verification services that allow you to register hundreds of accounts. That being said, there are always ways to somehow do it but it just have to be such a costly and time-consuming method that no-one would actually bother to. Its more cost-efficient to just buy the pro-membership package for $10

as I know quora and yahoo platforms have this kind of idea, the difference is only in the rewards received for users when asking questions and giving the best answers. Will this platform support all languages? Why should I invest if what I need is available on another platform (for example quora or yahoo)

Hey, thanks for the questions. The rewards that Answerly pay the writers is the most important factor that differentiates Answerly from Quora and YA. YA mainly focuses on short answers on personal/random questions. The best alternative to Yahoo Answers is reddit/r/askreddit. Our main competition is Quora. Quora was once known to be the most relevant platform for detailed answers to informational questions. However, in the last few years, it has transformed more into a "self-promoting" platform. To verify this claim, just look up for something like "What are the best ways to lose weight" on Quora and you'll mostly see the users with copied content (from other blogs) + link to their website/affiliate links. The reason is pretty straight-forward. There isn't any incentive for posting on Quora other than the referral traffic, the users are posting just about anything that could bring traffic to their own websites. This has resulted in high amount of low-effort/spam content on Quora. Our aim is to offer that incentive so that the users focus less on promoting their personal blogs and more on the quality of answers. In addition, we also have an integrated plagiarism checker + algorithms that would always ensure the quality of the answers. As for the visitors, Unlike Quora - we don't require the visitors to sign up to the platform to view answers. Lastly, the visitors don't usually use Quora for its quality, they use it because Quora usually ranks at the top for millions of search queries. We can also receive high volume of organic traffic with proper SEO strategies.

I have to say out front that I'm not familiar with Lobstr, so I didn't know how it works (I barely roam around XLM), but I assume (from a brief visit to their site) they're a wallet provider? If I am correct, does it means the one and only withdrawal method is to that platform? Or would the users be able to withdraw to whichever xlm address they want to? edit: just noticed an untidy posting format

As withdraw-er basically trade their ANSR to USDC (though backended), will they receive the USDC in full amount or will there be a tx fee for converting them? And sorry about the confusion, I was not referring to your... website (?) or other media of yours, I was referring to my posting format. I forgot to delete one bbcode when I snipped our conversation, resulting a rather untidy looks because my post were mixed up with the quoted post.

I see some differences of Answerly in comparison with other platforms. For example users have an opportunity to make money by posting content without the need of focusing on increasing their fan following or the age of their accoun. I think it is good

Stellar wallet creation isn't free. You need to activate the wallet by deposition 1 XLM. In addition the wallet creators also need to issue trustlines for another 0.5 XLM. So, this alone is enough to stop any sort of spam up to some extent. Then comes the SMS verification that would eliminate those who somehow managed to bypass the first hurdle. Then we have Lobstr that would look out for any further spam. Oh btw, we're just assuming that the user found some trick (that we're or will always be unaware of) that would allow him to have multiple accounts without spending any more than $10 (or else, he would have bought the Pro-membership). Last big challenge, the user still needs to post original and HQ answers on all accounts (or there's no use of having multiple accounts). If he's trying to post copied or low-effort content, it will never get selected as the "best answer" because we've built developed smart algorithms to combat that. This is too much of an effort + costly to make any sort of sense. If let's say, the user finds any way of gaming this, how long do you think it would really last for him? We're actively developing the platform... Auto-trade fees? ANSR -> USDC Nope! All trades will be executed on Stellar dex. It's feeless. They even refund back the transaction fee. Like I mentioned before, so far we've spent a little more than 2 years on this project and we've calculated everything very carefully. When we started building, this platform was supposed to use the Ethereum blockchain but after planning everything according to our requirements, Stellar seemed to be the best option. Everything that I'm discussing here is already mentioned in our Whitepaper or our Blog. I'm not sure if this is your usual way of questioning, but it seems like you feel challenged (please excuse me if I misunderstood) to somehow degrade our efforts. We're not here for an ICO or IEO, nor we have any sort of plans to go that route. Answerly is fully self-funded to this point and will remain that way. If you think that Answerly is worth trying or checking out, you're welcome. I see some differences of Answerly in comparison with other platforms. For example users have an opportunity to make money by posting content without the need of focusing on increasing their fan following or the age of their accoun. I think it is good No, we don't give bounties for copying stuff from our whitepaper and posting it here, so stop.
