http://cointelegraph.com/post/who_are_you_my_mysterious_bitcoin_userBriefly summing up the answers, the dear reader has to imagine the following person mirroring the average user: The average user is a 32.1 year old libertarian male. Top motivators for new users are curiosity, profit, and politics. Bitcointalk.org is the dominant community platform. Far more people have used Bitcoin for donations than for illegal transactions. 36.7% of users do not drink, smoke, gamble, or take drugs. As for me, I'm not averege...

23, single and I veer towards Anarchism more than Libertarianism but I can see the appeal and would prefer that if we had trustworthy leaders

This was an interesting read. I tend to not see myself as "typical" in anything, but as a "typical bitcoin user", I'm apparently very close to the norm. At least, the norm as described in this article.

As for me, I'm not averege... I bolded the ones that apply. I guess I'm pretty typical. I veer towards Anarchism more than Libertarianism
Libertarian Socialism is Anarchism.

I'm in the average 30, single, my motivation is profit, no donations, no illegal transactions for the moment and only drink, no drugs.

Okay, this one is true 44,3% of all respondents are anarcho-capitalists. In addition – non-religious (61,8%), working full-time (44,7%) and having responsibilities, as they are in a relationship (55,6%).
all of these are false

I sort of take offense when I read the title which is my own fault. I just don't get why people try and put a stamp on people and label them. Not saying that what is what this thread is doing but the title gives that impression IMO. If by the "typical" BTC user you mean a human being looking for a safe place to store wealth then yes yes u got me.
There are way more females in btc then i realized because I keep reading about males and drugs blah blah blah. Rant over thanks for the link OP

The community of rather radical anarchists is diluted by liberals and environmentalists. All together occupy 38,5%. Well I guess I partially dilute that as a liberal anarchist Fit fairly well into that except for age lol well below that for now

I think I'm not an average user. I'm just using bitcoins for fun and the advantage it gives.

Sorry for the title, if it confused you. That is just research made by company, specializing in markets research, so I suppose it's not a stamp, just facts summarize. As for me, I'm woman, so I'm not the typical BTC user, but on the other hand, I'm not sure that I can call myself user, because I'm just the one who is very interested in Bitcoin, but I don't have any. That is why I'm not sure that user is appropriate word for me If you'd like to be a considered a user you could very easily get some btc to play with and it won't take much effort at all. If you went to the the games and rounds section and applied for an offer for free BTC you would be then be defined as a user. If you click on the link under my post and sign up at that sight you should be given some free BTC just for visiting the site.
