Stay away from XRP (Ripple) crap. It's not even cryptocurrency. It's a centralized manipulated coin. If you want to go with BCH and BSV crap then good luck but I do not think many people will recommend it.

Bitcoin maybe having a roller coaster ride. Let it stable a bit then invest in it. Investing in bitcoin will be the safest for you. And if you have no knowledge and experience about trading then do not buy any altcoin. It's a gamble in this case.

Like mentioned, I'd stay away from xrp if you can. Litecoin is like beta testing for bitcoin so feel free to invest in that and wait for a better fork there that's yet to come to bitcoin.

Aside from that, if the best growth was previously in bitcoin, why are people not going to keep investing in that for a while? It's still the most well known and the most secure.

i want to assume you know how to trade, you can buy or trade what you dont want to hold. trading is a mini-holding because sometimes you hold for some days before you make a profit or breakeven. its not a magic, you just to either hold or dump at loss if otherwise happens. there are many potentials coins better than ripple and litecoin. try to restrategize especially on your decision of not wanting to hold.

Almost everyone on this forum would agree with me that ripple is a shit coin. There's no point investing in such coin because of the high risk involved and which means there's a very high possibility of losing your funds.
Litecoin is built on the bitcoin blockchain and so you may invest in that.
You should, however, know that the best form of investment in the crypto world is to invest in bitcoin. There's no way you'd lose out on that. Just hold for some time instead of wasting time analyzing which coin has the potential to increase in value

The two are good to buy if you wish to but litcoin is the best to purchase right now because it can increase at anytime for investors to make a good income from their Investment. Litcoin is still developing some attitude's is of profit making than ripple which is not ready to show any signs for the investors to believe that there is still hope in 2021. Since the price of litcoin is more lower than bitcoin which is still in $48k,is not advisable to buy bitcoin now than to hold until it hit $100k before you can release them for sale.

BTC future growth is relatively small? Are you not mistaken for bitcoin growth? how can you explain with just a few paragraphs while we are just the opposite. where bitcoin is increasingly scarce, its growth is increasingly irreplaceable. and the price is getting higher.

If you like to play with fire, go with Ripple, but I suggest to don't invest a lot as it could dump really hard if they lose in the case. Litecoin is a good investment, there's no legal problem with this coin and IMO it has a great future, so just try to decide based on the basis you can read.

Personally I would never waste money on a pesky coin like Ripple, because nothing can be expected from RXP. After getting a lawsuit from the SEC, ripple is starting to be abandoned by crypto users because until now there is no sign that it will win the lawsuit from the SEC. If you made a good amount as a investment, you will get better profit from it. If 5000$ investing in a standard or stable coin. It will give you a good return. If you don't want to hold your investment more than a year, you may choose of bitcoin and Ethereum. This two coins will appears like a star in a sky. If you will rely on your indicator and stat that you provided Ripple is a clear winner between the two, but you also need to understand the risk attached to investing in Ripple, the SEC issue will haunt them and follow them one bad decision and Ripple will crash and if you are not too quick to sell you are going to lose your investment, Litecoin is a safe investment and between the two Ripple is centralized, that puts him in a bad light in the community.

But, why aren't you interested in Bitcoin? This is the trusted for any trading or investment. I do think that BTC is the first priority in crypto

i dont think it would be a smart move to invest in xrp this time. their ongoing lawsuit is not going away anytime soon. if you are going to choose between xrp or ltc, definitely, i will advise you to opt for ltc. but it is the OP's money, so at the end of the day, it is his decision here.
but he needs to weigh his options here, the pros and cons. also, why not BTC? as Rengga Jati asked here also. with BTC, you know for sure, there is solid market for this. and if not, diversify your portfolio with valuable alts. i think it is not good time to select xrp in your portolio. just my 2 cents here.
