John talked too much and did too little, that's his problem.
I don't see McAfee done little to the loss of people when evangelized the fake project for and Why do you concern him to do little when a lot of people had him back then as their influence?

well no bad deed goes unpunished either now or later, this guy did a whole lot of evangelism back then that pumped so many shitcoins. its clear he might have some shady things in his hands and this time he might not go unpunished. whatever you do, always stay clean.
It clear he had a lot of shady things in his hands cause if he can evangelize for a project not caring about the consequence there's a possibility that he might secretly be among the project team.

John talked too much and did too little, that's his problem.

Rubbish. To give an idea about what he did:

1. Murdered an individual named Gregory V Faull.
2. Tax evasion in the United States
3. Promoted known scams, resulting in losses of millions of USD
4. Indulged in threats and blackmail
5. Tarnished the image of cryptocurrency in general

I wouldn't have bothered if he was all talk and no action. But the reality is that he scammed cryptocurrency users of their hard earned money. I just hope that he will rot in prison for the rest of his miserable life.

If indeed John McAfee had committed a crime that caused many people to suffer losses, he should have been punished for his actions. So far, McAfee has done a lot of shitCoin promotions which have resulted in many people losing their assets. Is that why he's in prison?

This is just a tip of the iceberg. McAfee promoted dozens of scam projects, and he charged $105,000 for a single tweet. He made tens of millions of USD (if not hundreds of millions) from these scams. When angry investors confronted him later, he refused to listen and abused them. For me, alongside Mark Karpeles and Craig Wright, John McAfee ranks as one of the worst enemies of cryptocurrency. I hope he will spend the rest of the his miserable life behind bars, without any possibility of a parole.

Yes, this guy is extremely odious, starting from his statements about the Bitcoin price and finishing with his videos and projects he promoted. Lots of people trusted his old reputation and old achievements I think, that's why his support influenced much on on people. But the golden rule is remember always about thinking twice before investing, and do not trust even famius names.

John talked too much and did too little, that's his problem.
And the problem that he had made before was the pump and dump for altcoins that paid him. Yes, it wasn't free, he did that on a purpose and the amount of payment that he has received from those projects he had made a pump was massive.
Aside from that problem, there are other things that he had made.

This. He's done more bad than you could ever imagine. He made people lose a LOT of money and we can only wonder what else to add to this list above.

Is the coin really shitcoin?
I really do not like McAfee because of his statements which sometimes make no sense. However, is there really a problem with what he's doing by pulling crowds off Twitter? If he's doing a scam maybe he is,
And will this also happen to Elon Musk?

I am happy that finally justice can be served, because there are so many frauds in the world of cryptocurrency that are untouched by the law.
But regarding the fraud committed by John McAfee, it turns out that he can be punished, hopefully McAfee can realize his mistake after being
in prison. Because so many victims are hurt by McAfee because he promotes scam projects that benefit him. This is a lesson for all of us not
to commit fraud, because it will end badly in the end.

In some cases, the promoters fled with all the money from investors. The investors were left with some worthless shitcoins and tokens in their wallet. McAfee was aware of these risks from the very beginning, but he kept promoting them because of his greed. In other cases, McAfee scrammed the ICO promoters themselves by refusing to promote the projects after some time. Here also, it was the investors who lost out in the end.

the next target could be Elon Musk and some public figures who actively tweeting about cryptocurrency (at least their bag)  Grin
check on this youtube video and article. Twitter already became SEC's domain area since then. lol.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRNypdYQoWk
https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/elon-musk-sec-probe-dogecoin-tweets-would-be-awesome

I do not think the circumstances are the same, John McAfee received payments from new projects to promote their coins and there are even some accusations that he dumped some coins after posting his tweets while Elon Musk is just posting some tweets regarding his holdings, while the difference may not seem to be that important I think it is, so Elon does not have anything to worry about, John McAfee on the other hand will have a difficult time proving his innocence.

when you have a big name in a certain industry, whatever words come from your mouth can be a business quote, and influence many people.
you will be targeted because you are a KOL.
Elon with his company bought a huge amount of BTC a few days ago. he could be targeted by SEC because of the indirect shilling activity with his tweets, trying to influence, or driving the hype.
I said this because, in my country, celebrities who talk about stocks recommendation or something like that, could be targeted by the regulation.

however, I am still thinking about the opposite side. why big names who talked sh*t about bitcoin never have any problem? it can influence people with misleading information, right?

John McAfee was arrested almost 6 months back. And since then he is imprisoned in Spain (somewhere near Barcelona). The extradition is going to take a lot of time, if it ever happens. Take the case of Alexander Vinnik. He was arrested almost 4 years ago in Greece and the Americans have been trying to get him extradited ever since. In 2020, he was extradited to France, but till now the Americans haven't got what they wanted.

I thought he had left prison. on March 8, I happened to see a tweet from him that he did on March 7, 2021:

https://twitter.com/officialmcafee/status/1368638038520123392

so is he still in prison in spain?

Safex is a scam

McAfee was being investigated for his wrong doings for quite long time, he knew it and that's why he was on the run, he was a bit of a clown and provoked the US authorities with his comments on Twitter.
He promoted many scam coins like SAFEX and charge money for this, he never warn investors that his advice was paid & he never warn anybody of the consequences of buying such scams.
You can read in the official discussion of SAFEX my post about John Mcafee promoting the SAFEX scam here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1258419.msg56523912#msg56523912
This video from Vincent Briatore about SAFEX & Mcafee is worth watching it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isDXVPP8c4U

Daniel Dabek is the creator of the scams SAFEX & Dascoin
John Mcafee traveled to Serbia with his wife Janice and meet with SAFEX scam team before he pump & dump it.

John Mcafee wanted SAFEX delisted from exchanges so Daniel Dabek can illegally sell coins directly from his website safex.io

Strange that John Mcafee is not being charged for pumping and dumping SAFEX if that scam is the majority of his holdings.

SAFEX is a SCAM

Daniel Dabek is the person behind SAFEX and this is how his scam works:
He will announce that the SAFEX marketplace will launch soon and set up a date, then his scammers will target people using Twitter and convince them to buy SAFEX, because SAFEX is not listed on exchanges then the scammers will tell them to buy overpriced coins directly from them, they been doing this scam since 2016.

In 2018 they got lucky and got a Canadian lawyer with the name of Stephen Kines to invest $5mil and that is how they founded the exchange Xcalibra with the help of Dascoin and Onecoin scammers.

Emilia Wojciechowicz is Dascoin and Netleaders scammer & also is Daniel Dabek girlfriend, she likes to visit crypto conferences and target high networth individuals using some kind of gold digger scam sometimes posing as member or founder of a fake organization like this time Emilia did an interview claiming to be from the Polish Blockchain Association https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1258419.msg56218445#msg56218445
They also run meetups in Serbia where they sell SAFEX and Onecoin to new investors.

Safex is a scam - Daniel Dabek is the creator of the scam Dascoin, the Director of the scam Netleaders & the creator of the scam SAFEX

I saw his recent tweets, but the last news article related to him is from 6th March and he was jailed at that point. I don't think that he has been freed since then, as the charges are quite serious. But it is very difficult to confirm this, as there has been no news coverage on him for the last one week. Personally I don't think that he has been freed, as it would be impossible to get a bail on such a short duration. I believe someone else is making the tweets on his behalf.

It seems like many people are annoyed with John McAfee, because his behavior is very difficult to forgive. Several times he promoted shitcoins
and also often gave wrong predictions, which made many people annoyed with John McAfee. Based on the last article I read John McAfee has been
found guilty of tax evasion, commits money laundering and fraud in cryptocurrency. Right now he should be in prison paying for the mistakes he has
made so far. Hopefully in prison John McAfee can introspect himself with all the crimes he has committed.
