Nothing will ever replace Bitcoin. It is possible that some day something will be evaluated higher than BTC but it is not replacing, its just becoming bigger.

Back to question from OP. Everything outside of top 200 CMC can pump 100x during this year bull market. Its hype time. Fundamentals are more important during bear market.

I think you already answered your question and everything you've said was right, Bitcoin has many advantages compared to altcoins that don't have.  Even Ethereum was almost there but it was ended up a failure even though it almost the same that Ethereum has partially decentralized smart contract consensus.  Bitcoin will remain on the top and presumable no one can replace it.

The truth is, it's really no one knows what will happen next.

I tend to agree with the post above if there's a huge price hike of any altcoin while having a bear market, that's definitely a hype project.  It always goes with the flow of Bitcoin price IMO.

If it was that easy for a coin to increase by 10000% in just a couple of years let alone being easy to predict. I am pretty sure most of the traders would be rich by now.
If I may ask, OP since this is a bull market period, Can you even point out even one top market cap coin that has increased by 10000% for just these past couple of years? I will wait.

Most of the hyped coins/tokens in the bull market are not sustainable long term. Wait when the bear market hits, you will see a lot of them die a natural death.

Ethereum remain the best to, but it will never happen in reality, even if it will happen, it will take decades or centuries, but with the look of things, it can never happen, bitcoin will remain the strongest cryptocurrency. You are new to this market so most likely you do not know, this market is overtaken by hype once a new spin is given to the technology and then people begin to invest in all kind of projects, but then that hype vanishes and most of those coins go to zero relatively quickly.

If you are looking for a coin making those kind of movements then most likely you want to become rich by investing a small capital in the market and I will say that you are just gambling with that attitude, it is better to invest in bitcoin which despite its huge market cap can still make incredibly movements, since one year ago bitcoin has grown more than 12x, if you had invested even just one year of your salary in it you will now have 12 years of your salary which is probably more than enough to buy a property where you live.

How long have you been in crypto market? Have you ever been in the market more than 4 years?

If you want to find some projects that can help you to get x10 in profits from your capital. Okay, let's wait for the bear market after the current bull market ends. Find a potential projects now and wait for the bear market. Wait till 1 year after the beginning of the next bear market or one year and a half, accumulate those potential coins. Hold them till 2024 or 2025. You will get a x10 of increase for your capital.

Probably one of the centralized coins like BNB,,, so it would have to be something we have not really heard of much but is starting to gain acceptance in a country like China or Africa. Small in market cap now so totally under the radar.

I have this in mind and am actively looking for such things. And I know CBDC, you can find out what it is and what projects are working on that field. I think this will be a new trend in the near future, as central banks consider blockchain integration. As such, I am very much waiting for projects that can focus on tracking in this area.

the only crypto that i expect to increase by 10000% in the next couple of years about 2-3 years ahead is only ARPA.

I do not believe why people are looking for 10000% because that is both unrealistic to expect from a currency, but you are also risking way too much to make that. You know what you should do? You should have a decent portfolio, hopefully you do not get in with 20 bucks or something because that barely covers the fee's these days, but if you have a decent one, like let's say at least 1000 dollars (possibly more if you can) you should spread it on top coins. Buy bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, ada, dot, uni and that's it.

Get these and keep them there, you will not need to invest into anything else for your main, after that they will go up, they will make you richer, they will worth more, and you could sell some profit, and with that profit you could spread it to more risky and low level things, at least you will have a good base and on top of that you can build risky stuff.

After many years working in this field I find to get like that it takes a lot of factors. High returns mean high risks, which is one way to expect a 10,000% increase in the next few years. But what I see here is that top projects usually take a few years to build and popularize it in this space, and when you buy it you just wish to be able to make the X10 profitable. The most specific case is ICO projects that are in the top 10 cmc, you will understand why.

The market now is bullish and altcoins take it to rise. It is not my advice for you but I am keen on choosing tokens or coins of new exchanges and hold. In bull market, coins or tokens of new exchanges have good opportunities to rise. Only if exchanges that launch those coins or tokens are legit, not scam.

If they are legit, they will attract users, run promotions, fee discounts through exchange-launched coin or token, trade contest, ... Market conditions and exchange promotions can help their coins or tokens have 10 000% increase this year.

I have been pursuing Polygon for quite a long time.  And I have had some success with Polygon because it has followed the defi trend and has driven a very strong (> 1000%) growth over the past 2 months.  For now, I continue to hold as Polygon has continued to list on coinbase as an affirmation of the platform's ambitions and potential.  I predict it will continue to peak at 10000% this year or 2 years from now.  Then I'll be rich )

I only believe in BTC that will grow massively without a specific time. Dont waste your time on altcoin because they grow once BTC dominance will be skyrocketing on CMC. If there is altcoin surpass the BTC dominance, I am sure they are a part of pump and dump coin which there is no actual organic growth, they are manipulated by whales or probably on most influencer people. Nevertheless, if you will put your investment into BTC 80% and top 10 altcoins 20% will probably have a chance that you will earn, not 10k% but at least there is.
