I am not good at price prediction, whether to tell that XRP will be at $5 after 5 years or it will be higher than that price but all i can say was i do sense that XRP will be a good altcoin too to be discover. It seems to me that the case of SEC is more important than supply. It remains to be seen whether the previous ATH will be able to cross the ripple. Because now the way the crypto market is going up, it is not impossible to reach that target for ripple. I doubt about it, the centralized coin that still has a problem will make many investors doubt to hold this coin even buy this coin. They will be afraid to loss their money because as you may know its price can be manipulated by their bag holder.

Like a few months ago, ripple price just dumped because inculpation filled by SEC. Just need a few days its price just dumped from $0.8 to $0.3, how can imagine how much loss that will get if you hold this coin. Ripple has not presented too much movement despite one of the most impressive bull runs in the history of the world still going on in this market, even if the case of the SEC against ripple is decide on their favour most likely at that point the bull run will be over and all of those that were invested in ripple and believed in the project would have missed the opportunity of a lifetime and there will be now way to get it back.
