Hi.

I'm new on this world. I've just buyed an used antMiner S9 but I can't get it to work.

I see some issues on kernel log, can you help me to fix these errors?

This one is your issue.

Maybe one of your fans is dying or not connected properly. Check the fan cable reattached them or switch the front and back fan and try again.

If not work and if you have an extra s9 miner try to replace the fan use the well-known working fan from another miner to check if one of your fans of this miner is dead.

I'm sure this is another issue from your miner it's related to PIC firmware.

Have you tried to flash it first with sd card? Try it first if not work can you try to run them one by one just look for a working hashboard but if all show this "PIC fw version=0x00" then you will need to find a working hashboard or if you have an extra s9 miner (known working) you can use that to dump the hex file to flash it to these hashboards with "PIC fw version=0x00". The working pic firmware result should show something like this "fw version=0x03" on the kernel logs.

Download the file called "t9+ -SD Tools.zip" and then extract and burn the image with win32diskimager.

Then follow the guide from this link below on how to flash it with an SD card: S9 series (S9, S9i, S9j, S9 Hydro) Control Board Program Recovery.

As long as you are getting a fan error you should ignore everything else as the miner might work just fine when the fan is replaced, don't attempt to flash a different firmware until you change fan [4], if the problem persists you can go ahead with the recovery firmware and flash any firmware you like, avoid the most recent as it would lock your miner.

Hi.

I've replaced the bad fan but my antMiner S9 can't work correctly. I've also downgraded the firmware via SDcard and now I've this: Antminer-S9-all-201812051512-autofreq-user-Update2UBI-NF.tar. I've also see in hash boards that only in 1 of 3 hash boards there is RF red led on, in other two boards there are no on leds.
