The season of reflection is here and this season is symbolic for Christians. This is a season that all Christians don't have any difference in what it means for Christianity. For Christians it should help us to reflect on the purpose of our being, life after death

When we talk about easter , for those who know the meaning, it immediately strike us to remember the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and all Christians are in agreement with this no doubt.

There are some facts of this season for Christians

1. It signifies the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ

2. That He resurrected on Sunday after being crucified of Friday

3. I'm aware that some observe 40 days fasting but not all Christians.

4. It is celebrated by Christians on Sunday worldwide by Christians

Lets us reflect on the purpose of easter as we celebrate the holy season. The date for this year's easter is 4th, Sunday.

Easter is a Christian celebration done to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ who lived some 2000 years ago and is believed to be the son of God. Easter is basically all about remembering the death of Jesus Christ.
Not all Christians uphold to this celebration as some are of the note that, death is a thing of sorrow and ought not to be celebrated but then, the rising as itsbelievedis where the celebration comes. As to this fact, they believe or they were told that it's not necessary for Christian to celebrate the death of Jesus christ. l believe we Christian were supposed to honour the death of Jesus christ because, He died for our sins which he knew nothing about that we might be saved according to the Christian doctrine, he paid the price for us to have a second chance to life.
So, it isn't really a celebration of death but that of life and life eternal at that, to those that believe.

I think the church celebrates easter today as a measure of celebrating the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross, that is choosing to die. It is a celebration of a priceless gift to humanity, and not about his death. It is a time of sober reflection upon the importance of his death.

If God is infinitely good, just and merciful, why will he destroy the whole of creation just to resurrect a few old souls? Also, why does he allow evolution to continue to improve the species, and their natural ability to withstand viruses and disease to prolong their lives?
