I guess that if OP was feeling panic caused by the small dump that happened before. The newcomers will always feel panic when the market gets a small dump and these newcomers will create various speculation about that. A small decrease can even make them all feel panic.

Yeah, market really do go on market correction from time to time, the price won't go on parabolic rise. ETH 2.0 though could be make or break for Ethereum, there are a lot of hype with this release and we do hope that it can live up to its expectations.

Yes, you are in panic mode. It is either you are very new in the cryptocurrency activities and you are afraid enough that you are telling us that it is falling down. Or maybe, just maybe you were an investor and lost it big time on Ethereum and you are spreading the message of self hate and doom for the coin. It is not Ethereum's fault you failed, it is all you ok? Nobody will listen to you here because many here's better than you and they know exactly well what they are doing. We are talking about cryptos, a 3% change isn't a big change or a big drop. In the past I have seen coins losing the 95% of their value, so, don't panic, 3% is nothing.

ETH is close to $2k right now, so the price isn't bad, I would say it still on the moon. And talking about moon bitcoin is today at $60k, that's crazy.

I am still surprised that people worry over such small drops, at the moment we are seeing a drop in the price of ethereum of 5.6% and while important it is not the end of the world, even if this is the beginning of a negative trend, something that I doubt greatly, there is still a lot of time to sell your coins for a small loss, assuming that you bought your coins recently because if you have been holding your coins for a few months then despite the current correction that should be enough to be in profits.

To worry is a normal reaction to people upon  knowing the falling status of ethereum. It is normal in cryptocurrency world that the price may goes up and sometimes goes down. Positivity and trust of having it is best thing to do in order to stop those worries. Beside ethereum shows a huge success and proved many things because if not, it will not be known and be one of the trusted Altcoins in crypto world.

It is a normal reaction but at the same time if you cannot overcome this then trading and investing in the market of cryptocurrencies is going to be impossible, I have seen way bigger movements in less than one hour in ethereum and I just think of that as a normal movement that happens from time to time, if newbies get scared by this I get it but someone that has been part of the market of cryptocurrencies for a long time cannot get scared by it or when a real crash happens he will take awful decisions that will cost him most of his capital.

it depends on the planning of the OP. for the long-term buying at the moment I think there is no need to worry. but I suggest not with 100% owned money. because the possibility of a major correction can also occur.

A healthy correction is a must but the problem is the newcomers will be seeing it as a way for the crypto to go down again while the fact said opposite happening with crypto.
The whales have been creating the dump but the news that has been coming since last month gave very big impact to the crypto market.

Ethereum is an alternative coin which is obvious that many of altcoins get rise or increase whenever Bitcoin increases and when Bitcoin fall's it really affect most of them partially, so ethereum dropping is normal that's shows that it will not decreased above the point it is currently, the next target is to speed up, since Bitcoin is approximately 57k, and with the slight drop of ethereum many people will be inquisitive to sell instead of holding it for longtime, and that's the get lost from cryptocurrency because of inpatient in marketcap.

The question in mind is that bitcoin dropped, and eth dropped as well, now bitcoin broke ath and yes eth increased as well but it is not at ATH just yet, why? That was the question earlier few months back as well, when we broke over 20k for the first time, ethereum was around 1k or 1.2k if I am not wrong, and 2017-2018 ath price was 1.5k or so, so people obviously asked "if bitcoin broke over its ath, why didn't eth".

This also comes from the fact that ethdropped nearly 90% last time even more, it reached 1500 dollars but seen as low as 80 dollars as well during bear, that is nearly 95% fall if you look at it, so the drop was faster and bigger and coming back to ath was slower and later as well. Hence people are questioning if it is a good idea to buy ethereum or not. I think it is a valid question, I still like ethereum for all it can do, but I think price should be a little better at going up and a bit better on not going down that much.

What I wonder is why people come to this market when they are worried about losing 3% of their capital, I get that no one likes to lose but if someone is going to get worried over so little then it should be better for them that they invest in something else, maybe gold or bonds should be more their style? Because cryptocurrencies in general move at an incredibly speed to the point that you could go to sleep and then wake up to a completely different market in just a few hours.

Exactly, considering how much ETH price has grown within 2 years, it would be really strange if ETH instead keep going up without correction even though they just recently hot ATH. I wouldnt even be surprised if ETH go down as much as half of its current price simply because that price then still gonna be above of its price 3 years ago.
as a trader, shouldn't only view a coin market movement from the current period of time perspective but also need to view from its overall long term price movement

Yes, but for now ETH is still in a period of correction and price declines are still occurring at ETH, I have seen this for the past three days to date, so this is clearly reasonable because market corrections are a very normal thing to happen and do not exist who can avoid it.
