For me, i don't think its the best way for you to sell the altcoins to buy BTC, for me, i think the best idea is to keep buying altcoins, gain profit, and repeat,

This should be the correct point. People are always focusing to convert it into bitcoin while bitcoin could not give the same result as altcoin does consider it has valued so high compared with altcoins.
Just sell some to anticipate the dump and this will become a very wise decision.
We must prepare the strategy to face the bull and bear trend. We must not always get stuck into one strategy.
That will make us can follow the market's movement.

For me, i don't think its the best way for you to sell the altcoins to buy BTC, for me, i think the best idea is to keep buying altcoins, gain profit, and repeat,
if you wanna gain fast profit, just do short-term trading, keep earning money,
and if you wanna buy BTC, just deposit with your money, not the other altcoins, because these day all of altcoins going hype and keep increasing, but still its your own choice, i hope that this suggestion will be useful. cheers

because you should know how to choose the right altcoins to invest mate,
so, you will not drop your money to a kind of shitcoins,
the key is learn before earn and understand about how to manage the risk in crypto investments

Choosing some potential altcoins for current investments would be profitable if looking at an increasingly strong market,
I think indeed the decision to save bitcoin and altcoins is the best investment  at the moment. 30% for bitcoin and 70%
for altcoins doesn't seem to matter. Maybe  if  bitcoin  stabilizes  will be a lot of  altcoin  pumping, this is an opportunity
to double your money.

I think deep down you know the answer to that question.

The price of altcoins in relation to bitcoin is not rising much, if you look at the ATH of all altcoins in relation to bitcoin you can see that altcoins are not even in the 50% of reaching their ATH in relation to bitcoin, and see that more than 3 years have passed while altcoins do not reach at least 50% of their ATH in relation to bitcoin, it is clear that the best option is to sell.

but there are exceptions. for example BNB and some altcoins have the potential to increase prices in relation to bitcoin

I would definitely do that thing once i do have the opportunity to sell and just minding on how many altcoin that i do have sitting on my wallet then if i do have the chance then there would

Those are usually erc20 tokens which i know that it is totally shit on getting those but i do acquire those tokens wayback into those previous bounties in previous years that had past.

Only a not common chances or situations on where you can see these opportunities.Better not to miss it rather than on making some regrets later on.

Alts are not long run in general,,, this is the problem. The fact that they rely on hype marketing and bounties means they know they are not around for long, hence the attitude of live fast and furious from the projects and from the buyers as well.

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

How many altcoins are we talking here ? if you mean diversification then you have made the best strategy here mate because all of us has that same thing.

But of course most of us has 50% or more Bitcoin and the another half segregated to at least 5 altcoins the least?

in this way we can maximize our potential profit .

That is a good idea. But people tend to buy the coin which has rally and expect that they can follow the price increase and make a profit. But the truth is they can not make a profit, especially if they just buy and sell the coin without analyzing the price. Buying the altcoins at a low price will always be recommended, but they can not always get the right coin to buy, so it will need more research to find the coin.

Altcoin season yet to come. Don't get impatience, some of us have been into crypto for just few months and hurry to take out the profits. HODL some moments, you won't lose anything. Better ignoring outside noise. People get frustrated so early, and this attitude should be solved.

they are not impatient. this is actually the basic stance of investing. they may have reached the target price they wanted to achieve. There is no harm in selling when the pump is like it is today. although not many altcoins are not getting the max pump.
I believe those who buy assets must have planned well. so when they decide to sell or hold the assets they have, it all depends on the consistency of the plans they make.

Okay...you said that NFT is a trend but it has nothing to do with what already said by the thread starter as you can see that he already hodl his own altcoins. I guess that will not relate to the NFT. He was in dilema whether he should convert some of his coin or not for the major coin.
I think that it's too far to think he will even convert his altcoin into the NFT coin.

Never let a trend fool you about its valuable truth, I've seen a lot of projects follow this trend, and it's really bad, not any NFT project is successful, new projects appear all the time and many unknown projects show signs of fraud. Trends are important but don't overdo it as it is like the old defi hype, it will take time for projects to build and refine themselves.

Bitcoin dominance is strong, I always expected when bitcoin reach its new all time high then the trend will be changed, altcoin market is coming but it never happen. I have been waiting for long time and I have collected some altcoins that I should buy when the real altseason is coming.

So, it will be the right decision to sell your altcoin investment and buy bitcoin and hold it for long term. Seem like the bull run market will never end at this year. Since there are so many instutional investor just coming to buy bitcoin which is a good news for us, finally the real mass adoption is coming to us.

If I could get more profit from the dead alts that I still hold today, I loved to do it in order to divert with bitcoin. However, the price of my holdings was unfortunately not good and remained so down these days. Altcoins with no strong support from community has no further increase of demand because most people prefer to trade with btc or ethereum.

If you see the improvement of your altcoins already improved above 50%, it is no problem to sell them for BTC or for USDT. It is the way how you secure your profits, then if you want to buy again the altcoins, you just wait for the correction. There is no need of too greedy in profits, you are better to manage your investment in a safer way by securing the profits after reaching a certain target.

I think you dont need to sell some good altcoin for btc, Because altcoin has a capability to rise when bitcoin is in a bullrun status, i suggest to hold the altcoin and wait for a good price to sell amd earn big profit. Bitcoin is good coin to invest but for now base on its price it is really risky because it needs a lot of money if you invest on it today, better to wait for the dip before you buy bitcoin.
