Hi guys,

a question which i had discussed with some of my friends before:

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

Really interested in your thoughts!

Kind regards.

I made that mistake in the past and used my Bitcoin to buy Altcoins. Altcoins went up like crazy and down like crazy. Now I realized I made a mistake. If you want to gamble, put more into Altcoins and if you want to play it more safely, keep more Bitcoin.

In my opinion, your choice to split your  investment 30/70 is a good idea.
And what about your 70% alts? Is it a good rating alts? If it is, i suggest you to keep your alts and dont touch it.

Currently it is not the perfect time to buy bitcoin, because we are in AltSeason.

It is NEVER a bad idea to sell some of your alts and go bitcoin especially if you are 70% alts.  When the bear comes it will feast on all these alts.  People are going to lose a historic amount of money unfortunately its just the nature of crypto.  So yes should ypu at some point.  HARD YES for sure.

agree, buying bitcoin at a high price is not a wise investment option. If 70% of your portfolio is a token with an affordable value, I'm sure you are getting a pretty decent profit right now, right?

To be honest i don't really like to invest in bitcoin, i believe the price of bitcoin will keep rising but i think it's hard for me to gain profit more than 10 times in the near future with BTC.

So, i prefer to invest in alts with good potential + low marketcap.

If you just buy BTC and do nothing else with it - in this case - yes, you are unlikely to be able to earn a lot now. And if you conduct active trading based on market analysis, everything is possible!

just wait for sure bitcoin will definitely go down but whether that's when the correction will definitely happen, it's just waiting for bitcoin to go to $ 60k-62k in the near future seeing the movement so fast that the downturn of the support area actually occurs at $53k does not rule out bitcoin will rise higher if the market attractiveness is higher this is the right opportunity to buy bitcoin because the price has gone down if you have large capital it is better to buy bitcoin than altcoin because bitcoin rises and falls faster.

If you look at the speed of the rise and fall of coins, I think altcoins also have big fluctuations. but by trading on bitcoin at least it makes us safer, actually if we can analyze altcoins, this will be profitable too. but still for beginners I recommend choosing bitcoin in trading. it remains only to wait for the current correction price and we can sell it at a higher price

the most important thing is the type of coin chosen, 70% for altcoins it is a very large allocation in my opinion, being smart in managing altcoins is like finding treasure if an altcoin pump.

To invest in BTC is one of the best choices, that is why you have more chance to gain from BTC investment than from other cryptocurrencies. However sometimes it is also hard for me to invest in BTC, the price of BTC is not higher as expected, but it is still high for some people including me. For this reason l prefer investing in other potential currencies like top altcoins.

There is a coin that I am seeing that has a growing trading volume, and they possibly have more sales than purchases, of course it is in the short term, it is XRP, I see that particularly the market uncertainty is attacking investor confidence:

Quote
This positive view will nullify if the price turns down and breaks below the 20-day EMA. Such a move will suggest that supply exceeds demand. The XRP/USDT pair could then drop to the 50-day simple moving average ($1.16).

I have some XRP, do you think it is a good time to sell XRP?

I have some XRP, do you think it is a good time to sell XRP?

Maybe you can hold yourself and do not sell your XRP right now because I believe XRP price will increase this month. We can take a look at the chart in coinmarketcap on April 14 the price was $1.9 and today May 11 $1.4 so the price was drop today. But this is only a suggestion and you can decide based on your situation.

People have different tastes when choosing the right coin to invest in, and the most solid foundation in investing is supported by a lot of finance. If you have authorized capital of more than 1 BTC, You will definitely look at bitcoin as the most profitable investment for you. Just imagine after you bought 0.5 bitcoin and the price suddenly increased by 10%, how much profit have you got.

There is a coin that I think is selling a lot and it is QTUM, this coin reached an ATH of 35.68USD, but then it has fallen a lot, I do not know if it will be because investors will be looking for other horizons with other highs, but it has fallen 40% In these moments where the BTC has fallen a lot, it has been seen that QTUM has managed a trading volume based on many sales, the bulls have made no effort to test the offer at high levels, although the btc continues to fall or correct, I think that QTUM will go down at least another 5-10%, it would be ideal for sale.

Quote
However, it has been moving downwards since. So far, it has decreased by 40%, reaching the $18.50 support area. The bounce so far has been weak.

Source: https://beincrypto.com/qtum-btt-etc-hot-neo-omg-zrx-vet-losers-may-7-14/

According to this article QTUM is listed as one of the most losing currencies so far, with these forecasts it is likely that many want to sell, and it would not be too bad.

I had previously seen the name of the currency Theta, which, I found interesting, and recently now Theta is going through a huge moment where it is best to sell, or at least to leverage and win with the short, this analysis confirms it:

Quote
ADX noted a dip to 15 and it needed to remain above 25 to support a price swing in either direction. Currently, the trend was not strongly supported by the market, therefore there are higher chances of the price collapsing.
Source: https://ambcrypto.com/litecoin-theta-vechain-price-analysis-27-may/

I almost never think of selling, but this time I think it is the best, because the same volume shows that it is very selling, for those who have Theta I think that you should consider this analysis, of course this can be invalidated if BTC enters a bullish trend, things can change.

To be honest i don't really like to invest in bitcoin, i believe the price of bitcoin will keep rising but i think it's hard for me to gain profit more than 10 times in the near future with BTC.

So, i prefer to invest in alts with good potential + low marketcap.
When it comes to decision making then there would really be lots of factors;

-Self preference
-Potential
-Project Relevance
-Team behind

Even with low caps then you can determine that there are indeed still have gems out of those pile of shitcoins in the market.
Selling out is your choice but holding doesnt really harm either.

Isnt it 10%? I dont really into math but whatever you invest to, if the price increased 10%, you got 10%, tbh i dont get it what you want to say.
For me Bitcoin isnt for investment, its have some issue which im not like, so i prefer altcoin. Also, for investment some altcoin surpass Bitcoin profitability.

Hi guys,

a question which i had discussed with some of my friends before:

If you were invested heavy in alts but rather light in btc lets say 30% BTC / 70% alts you made a good profit in dollar.
BUT i have the feeling i wasted so much BTC to buy Alts and right now BTC has surpassed many of them by far.

Do you think it would be wise to sell some Alts for BTC right now?
Or is BTC dominance to high?

Really interested in your thoughts!

Kind regards.

depending on what altcoin you invest, if you invest in altcoin that are in the top 5 on coinmarketcap (ETH, BNB and ADA), then you better keep holding your altcoin, because you will definitely get a big profit (the price will definitely increase very high), but if you invest in altcoin that are new or don't have a product, so it's better if you still invest in BTC, because the price of BTC will definitely increase very high in the future, so you will definitely get a big profit from investing in BTC rather than investing in altcoin that are not in the top 5 on coinmarketcap.

When you opened this thread it was one of highest points for altcoins, if you sold your coins then you made good amount of money. It was the right time to sell altcoins. Now we can expect cheaper prices for altcoins but we don't know if market react this again in a good way.
