I think George russell has been fastest so far, registering a sub 1m17s lap today,-

Racing Bulls, McLaren and Aston Martin were also supposed to be racing today but i dont think they have showed up yet

Not so sure why bookies would be going off what exactly happens during these tests since they are not finished fine tuning the cars.
But they must be something to go off of according to those odds you put up from BetFair.

I might be wrong or biased, but I am under the impression that Russell doesn't have what it takes to be be world champion in 2026. Imho he only has a chance if his car is much better than the competitors and they also don't manage to catch up during the year.

I think the results are overhyped, it's either some insiders trading on the Betfair exchange and using the sports bet to level risks or stupid money going stupid places.
None of the crypo casino not BetPanda, not Stake, moved for two days now they are following the tracks of Betfair and bet365 this is money moving the markets!

There is certainly going to be some stories which will come out before the season begins.
Totally missed that Red Bull and Ferrari had their cars unveiled two weeks ago.
Not so sure if Mercedes did theirs yet but they will more or less be cutting it closer to the start date I am assuming.

It's not illegal till is declared illegal!
The FIA has not said a word, the rules can't be changed during the season, outlawing 8 cas is nuts, F1 would never recover after this.

That's why I always said, get an F1 Unlimited series, all you need to do is follow roughly by 10% the shape, rest is unlimited horsepower tyres, gas, number of cars and engines, no DRS no anything, no rules about passing, nothing, all you can do is allowed!

It looks like an excellent cars shows, now I’m hearing all the 2026 cars have been realized and I’m yet to see what most of this car’s really looks like which is I’m more interested to see what Mercedes would look like, and also I will be interested in seeing what Aston Martini looks like as well, the Aston Martini’s new car is an all black diamond that we can also verify to have looked excellent amazing, and Mercedes having it’s usual colors with white and black color is also a good color combination for the job and they needed something actually different.

Red Bull have a usual colors with their vehicles, and we have seen same thing all over the season going through the tournaments, Red Bull will be ready with a fantastic car to chase the season, well personally I will looking at Ferrari who have already brought something unique with their performance as well, but the most important thing is having a very strong engine.

Interesting way to reveal car livery - during Super Bowl advert. Wondering how much money it cost them . While design looks not much different from colours that Mclaren used in early 00s.
While Mclaren and Aston Martin didn't made much changes.

Testing in Bahrain is on day 2 and the teams are stretching their legs.
Interesting to see how they new cars are performing out on this track for the new season.

I've read a little these days on what's happening in F1 and it looks like an utter madness:
* the Mercs' engine is the fastest one, by far
* Honda 2026 engine is much crappier than Newey and Alonso would have expected
* the cars no longer feel like F1 car (Formula E on steroids sounds catchy, but oh so wrong)
* There are issues at start, which it seems that only Fred Vasseur has expected and already countered (I wonder how on earth the testing of new technologies goes in F1)

Strangely Ferrari seems very reliable (for now) and unsurprisingly Mercedes is very fast. Also Max seems to be very versatile even if he doesn't like the new overall specs (however, he didn't complain about the car, which tells something). Did I miss anything important?


PS. I'm already missing the actual races
PPS. I would not be too surprised if some older drivers just leave during the season to other series where the cars are.. still proper cars.

However, imho Lando is just showing off to get people talk about him too and Max has better control in the areas he has to recharge the battery.
