Dear Community,

maybe someone can help me. I had all my BTC on Exodus Wallet.
But 3.9BTC were stolen from Friday to Saturday at 01.00am - 03.00am.

I have the transaction id and found these things.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/76f1056143bbad2fb8312f206dd55573eeb593e8d5500bd4c87175fa0cb45fc9#o=0

At the moment the Coins are in this wallet and i have no clue how to get them back.

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/address/3EtAq2TmWrGreNA8q1WZq8N1VpUbVPcSpU

Is it possible that someone can help me and get my coins back?
I will pay a Reward of 10%

Please help me,
David

Reversing that transaction is not possible, but you should ask yourself the following: How it got stolen from my wallet? What OS am I using? How the attacker could access my OS? Did I have a password to encrypt my wallet. How the attacker could have access to my encryption password/PIN? Does my OS have a firewall/antivirus, that could have logged the attack? Somebody in RL who could have access to my PC/Phone/Ledger/etc and/or guess my password? Was the computer running during the attack? Was it connected to the internet?

Sorry to say but AGD's right, you can't reverse those transactions so your only hope is to discover who did it and where it went, and then hopefully get it back from the exchange it's likely being sent to.

First things first however is that you avoid using your device now for any other Bitcoin transactions. If you have other wallets etc, sweep them out now to a clean device and new wallet. Answer all AGD's questions and then keep a log and record for anyone who can help you trace these things later.

No it's not possible and you can't get this coins back.
You should take better care of your private key and backup phrase and never import them on some website and never click on some links you receive in emails.
Phishing attacks are happening all the time and you are probably one of the victims, or you have some malware on your computer, and best solution for this is to have some cold wallet like hardware wallet.

This is why you need to use Hardware Wallet. They are protected from viruses and phishing attacks.
I've seen hackers give money back to people.
The nurse sent a link to the message in the transaction and the hacker returned all the money to her. (The essence of the message was that these were her last savings.)
You need to contact the hacker using another transaction to the same address and in the hash indicate the link to your message, where you write why he should return the money to you.
These cases are isolated, but decent hackers do occur.
Here is one of the ways how to transfer information through bitcoin transactions.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226033.0
But I think that the members of the forum will tell you how to do it better.
At least you will have a minimal chance of getting at least some of your money back.

People offering services on telegram are categorized as scammers? I am sorry then a lot of scammers happen to exist on the forum.

I don't have malicious intents so I will explain why I asked for his telegram id. It is near impossible to maintain a fluent conversation here at the forum and tracking the user requires him to answer questions like which websites he visited in past, scanning his computer for potential viruses and things like that which need time and some fluency in the conversation.

If only the forum had a chatting option, I would have not asked for it.

In fact, no one can cancel a transaction if it is confirmed. Here I see hacker are very smart when moving bitcoin out of your wallet, hacker use high transaction fee and that will make the transaction speed very fast. There's nothing you can do after this if you don't know who did it.

OP, I hope you consider not using any service that are hidden from the public and don't trust those people so easily. You may still be fooled a second time if done in the dark without proper self-control and emotional control. You really have to win yourself over after today.

igor72 is a good bitcoin technician.
You can write him a private message, he understands English. He has helped many users understand complex issues.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=1094195
Be sure to write him a private message with a link to this topic, maybe he will give you some good advice.
If a hacker starts communicating with you, you will have a chance.
But you will definitely not lose anything, except for a small transaction fee.

It's a pity to say you can't get that money back. Once the transaction has been made and confirmed, there is no way to get your funds back. Instead of looking for someone who can get you this money back, you should take a closer look at blockchain and all the ways to protect yourself. Now, it is best to find out the reason your money was stolen. What reason? Where? And why? It comes from the wallet you are using or from your carelessness? If it comes from the wallet, you still have a chance to sue, if it comes from you, condolences  Lips sealed

do you have a telegram ID? Message me, I might be able to track who holds your funds now. Cannot guarantee anything yet though.
Don't mind any guy like this, he's just looking to get some more money from you  Undecided

But I have a question, why does a man who owns such a large amount of Bitcoin in the moment like you know nothing about blockchain? It was the first question that came to my mind when I read this topic  Huh

I'm sorry for you loss man but there's no way you can recover your funds unless the receiver would return it. Transactions are irreversible and it's anonymous unlike in bank transactions where you can find a legal complain and they will act or tracing the receiver of the funds if its hack, but in crypto it's different, it's decentralized and no one can reverse that transaction, even satoshi the founder.

May this be a learning experience to you, I know it's a huge amount but what is done is done, just be careful next time and the sooner you accept your loses the better as you can move on early. Good luck on your future journey.

Instead of offering reward here try also to contact the Chainalysis team if you can afford to pay their service, they have quite popular in solving the high-profile cybercriminal cases related to any blockchain transaction if you think that your Bitcoin has been stolen with someone else.

In that case, turning back isn't possible but tracing where it goes might be helpful IF your coin isn't yet converted to fiat.  Sorry for your loss mate but as they said above, Bitcoin transactions are irreversible.  Move on and don't let this happen again, that's how risk we handle while adopting cryptocurrency.

its nearly impossible to refund that transaction but we can do some reverse engineering to your pc and find out where and how attack was done maybe we can get access to hacker server and steal all he have . but not sure 100% since i am security expert i can easily find how your funds gone and track back also make secure your pc if still its hacked.

we did same like that but its was not related to funds it was files stolen from a member pc then we reverse engineered a malware which was connecting with a FTP account with credentials we decrypted credentials and access ftp also download all data then rooted server with some expensive 0day and gained root access of server

All cases are not same sometime hackers are also so smart and sometime just a jackpot of copycat

if you interested in revenge we can do but no money guarantee at all i can try my best

Sadly to say that you won't be able to get your btc no matter what you do unless the address where the btc sent is also yours then you don't have to worry but if it is not then that means your device is compromise. Maybe a hacker did able get your private keys or your seed phrase. If you did made transactions earlier then it is possible you lose your btc from clipboard hijacking or also known as CTRL + C and CTRL + V (Copy and Paste). If you know how to hack then you might have a chance to discover the one who got your btc.

The answer is simple the device where your wallet is installed is infected with malware or a keylogger which the reason why the hacker was about to access your wallet and looking for the address where the Bitcoin is moved into the coin is still there, I guess the hacker is still waiting for the perfect time to sell or move it.
In the meantime, you can report the wallet on Bitcoin abuse or scam alert and follow the procedure provided by CipherTrace cause they have once done a beautiful job before the coin will be move to a tumbler or an exchange wallet.

Edit: You should have checked the Exodus wallet review before keeping 3BTC on it can people are advised not to put a large amounts on the wallet.

Do you have any idea how your wallet was hacked?  You admit that you did not understand the guide you said or that the information you searched for may be incorrect or incomplete so you made a mistake.  I used Exodus wallet for both PC and mobile apps but I didn't lose anything in my funds.  Perhaps only large amounts are prone to such scenarios lol  Grin But for now, I use Trust wallet and Coinomi more, more reliable, and recognizable.

That said, it's not in any wallet because if you don't know how to keep your funds safe and protected, especially private keys/seed phrases, it will lead to a loss.
