It's a DNS hijack, you shouldn't try to open the site and wait for them to recover.
They said funds are safe. Temporary price drop was expected, there is no need to worry about price right now.

Yes, I was worried about the price of CAKE tokens, because I just bought CAKE tokens, then suddenly the price fell, then I found this news. hopefully it will recover soon and the price of CAKE tokens will increase again.

It is amazing that the Binance coin did not respond to this hacking. Cake Token also behaved like a market. Looks like the price of the token no longer falls.
I hope that many people didтэt suffer from this hacking.

It looks like CAKE is oversold last few weeks, although price went down to one figure I expect a fast recovery when everything go back to normal.
Coins in Binance Smart Chain ecosystem didn't react to BTC price rise so they have minimum reaction to this correction as well.

Hacking have become a common thing in the crypto world, I wonder if we will ever have a hack proof exchange built where no hacker will ever be able to penetrate in, though I kind of understand that most of this hacks are mostly an insider job, this goes a long way to tell us that people can't be trusted one hundred percent, there is a saying in my native language which in English means that "it is the rat that is inside the house that told the rat outside that there's fish inside the house" this is to say that this hacks are mostly an insider job.

These problems need to be solved soon or the platform will experience trust issues. These carve bad stereotypes in the mind of users. Many newcomers to the crypto may be frightened by these attacks.

As long as the price of the Crypto goes up there always will be such stories as the above. Even if you are keeping a good level of protection there's always a weak link somewhere in the system, all you can do is to reduce the risk but you can barely make it 0.
I've said that many times before, all those hacks have a really bad impact on the crypto world and dragging more and more people out of the community. We have to keep inform the newbies about the hidden traps in the crypto world.

It is the reminder that is repeated many times.

"Don't put all your eggs into one bag". Eggs are your capital, your cryptocurrency. Bag is exchange, DeFi, wallet or transaction, swap. I don't make a single transaction to move all my capital from one exchange to another, from one wallet to another or in one period. If I move my capital, I will move it in a few transactions with a few hours in between two transactions.

yeah and it is good that people are being alarmed instantly so  think if there is some Victims they are only limited because the forum already spread the warning of not trying to access the site first while the case is not resolved.

And it is good to hear that the funds are safe because there are too many investors inside Pancake now as they are one of the fastest and highest growing coins/project of our day now.

Has the Pancakeswap service returned to normal? I see that some people are able to swap there, or maybe the hack doesn't affect the swap?
They have regained access to the DNS since yesterday but some areas weren't ready yet. You can monitor it at https://dnschecker.org/#NS/pancakeswap.finance

I have no issues accessing the app using SafePal but I read some web users couldn't log in because it was marked by Metamask and Brave as phishing.

A lot of new projects that are launching these days are built on binance smart chain because the fees are so small compared to ETH at the moment.
You pay like 0,15$ worth of bnb on fees at binance smart chain at the moment and like 15$ fees on the ETH-Chain.
But with a huge number of new BSC-projects emerging it is not really surprising, that a few of those projects are rushed and have therefore security issues, they are not more vulnerable just because they are on BSC.

This is certainly bad against the background of these events, the price fell to $ 10, what do you think is the lowest limit? After all, many will want to make money on this.

I just realized that I could not access pancakeswap, and was detected as phishing by Metamask. If I delete my metamask, can I re-access Pancakeswap? Can you recommend a wallet to be linked to pancakeswap other than metamask?
You can use trustwallet instead if you are desperately in need to swap your token, but I highly recommend you to wait for a few days before it becomes stable and wait until metamask removes pancakeswap from their phishing list. I still see some people have problem using it, there is a chance for another error to happen even though the possibility is small. but always be careful, everything can happen in this space.

Since everything is working fine and it's back to normal, I don't see the point of keeping this thread open any longer.
This hacking attack should be a good reminder to keep your mind sharp when dealing with crypto and double and triple check when you login and make transactions.
If actively move your funds you have a higher chance to end up scammed. Stay safe and Hodl!
