Introduction

One of the important aspects everyone may access is privacy while using the internet. Now, with the movement of decentralization, you can even use a product like Sentinel that is a decentralized VPN (a virtual private network) that encrypts your communication.

Right now, what is cool is completely free!

The issuer of the Sentinel Network coins claims that 40 million DVPN tokens were withdrawn from the HitBTC bitcoin exchange by an unknown person due to its error. According to the project developers, the theft became possible because the exchange revealed a mnemonic phrase that is used to restore access to the crypto wallet. HitBTC stated that the cause of the incident was a vulnerability on the Sentinel Network side.

According to explorer, the phrase was published in a transaction for 1 DVPN address to itself. Presumably, the HitBTC staff tested the transfer of funds before the swap.
