I have also downloaded it but ended up deleting it because of the many oddities in this project.

If we have downloaded the Pi Network application, we will know the answer, as you said, indeed the oddity occurs because some of the ones that are mined don't make sense so I think this is not a real project but only utilizing something the team wants, I have already read the thread you mentioned and it looks like it will be more interesting for the OP to see it on the reputation board.
I also don't know how these tokens are traded because in CMC the track data cannot be read, meaning that it is clear that this is a mining application, not a legitimate one, if you already know everything, the OP should be able to avoid the application.

It should be like that but unfortunately it could be that the OP is also looking for answers outside of this forum which is often the answer is the opposite of what the members of this forum convey.
Not tracked in CMC because to my knowledge they are not listed on any exchange.

Pi coin is of zero value because no one can buy/sell this coin. Its been so long that this coin is avaible in the market for mining but not available on the exchanges. Unless this coin is not on exchanges, i am not interested to follow this project or involve in the mining of Pi coin.

I was "Mine" Pi too on my mobile device for around 1 years right now, The community was really big and their team was actively developing (Updating the youtube, etc) but still didn't know if this was legit or not, They are asking KYC which is suspicious and until now there is no Source Code or any significant update on their development. For now i'm neutral and can't give any exact answer but let's say 50 = Legit and 50 = Hoax/Fraud.

Well there is not enough evidence that they are scam the matter is that everyone's personal information is really guaranteed. With an inflated product that is supposed to be the future, serving for people, we are the ones to benefit from their activities. 15M downloads a record number with a mobile app, I've personally exploited it, but I'm starting to see it's not of any use, in this space do we need products like this or not? Not for me.

Let me know one think does this coin have a blockchain ?  I think No. When you mine the coins, the coins which you get should have a tx id. There is no block explorer of Pi and of course it is not an eth token. So all the mined coins you got is just a increase in the number value and nothing else.

Nope, It's not real mine though the numbers are prearranged and there is no Blockchain or even Source code for now and that's why i said i still doubt about Pi as i said before but beside that they also have a big community and active team also i didn't recommend it either, Well since it's free money i didn't expect something big and just want to be neutral.

Can you guarantee if that was a real number? I guess that's a self claim created by the pi crypto itself. there's not even an audit to the claim that already made by this coin.

- Indeed, this project has not received some fraud reports so far, it is still very clean up to now but their behavior is really suspicious, the data on our phones is quite important, during the Pi mining process, some information leaks can happen, this may not be a hundred percent sure, but precaution is never wrong. Plus, this project is also designed for affiliate marketing, a potential project will not need such a marketing method, we want to advertise, we always have many different ways, what I am saying has enough quality evaluation of this project

The only time I tried it is when a friend introduced it to me 2years ago. I keep on mining and referring people to it without being able to access it. I deleted the app cos I find it hard to understand how it works. Since then I haven't tried it again no matter how it been hyped

I am also confused about it. Beacuse some news like a shop doing his product sell for pi. Then it got a huge number of downloads on play store. It is a biggest crypto mining app ever on google play store. And after some time they announced something extraordinary. Though they has a huge fan base from all over the world plus they are well prestigious in market. So if they face financial problem they can easily collect from funding.  Now the negative point is they didn't launch the coin in any market since its app launch. Plus they didn't work according to their announcement. So its little bit scammy. So i am truely confused.

Lots of empty promises on their webpage, their FAQ is eye-opening if you read between the lines.

Wait that crap still exists? If you google "Pi coin legit", you will see hundreds of result saying that the Pi network is a scam. You should delete that shitty app right away. It's more like a ponzi/MLM thing where you have to invite more friends to get more coins and shit. As far as I know, they don't even have a working chain, and you don't even know what they are actually mining using your phone. They probably are using your phones hardware to mine some other coins or maybe they are just mining your data and selling it to some third party companies.
It's a crap project. Delete it and if you have invited others, tell them to do the same.

It's been a long time since this mobile mining browser app and project has been introduced to the community. Even until now, as you've said, there's no value.
I cannot conclude yet if this is a serious project because they have existed already for a long time and showing its value is still questionable. Well, it's all your time and you can do whatever you want with that but to me, I won't waste my phone's energy and time for it.

To be fair, I haven't looked at this project properly because of all the criticisms above (no value, no utility etc) but I know tons of other crap projects with far less community supporters around it. I mean to see they have a shitload of mods doing the work voluntarily seems to say something about the project. Not something I'd buy but you never know what community power can do (look at Bitcoin).

It's different from the community of bitcoin. I wouldn't compare a project that has no real value than to bitcoin that has the entire world's support for it.
That's just an absurd comparison if that's what you're telling about the power of a community coming from a project that has been said that has no value at all and until now, there's no action that it is showing for those that have patronized it.

[/quote]I don't know if everyone knows this, but one of the founders of Pi is the old teacher Vitalik. Actually I was so surprised by the information, I don't understand their reasons and vision, probably because I'm stupid, but I'd rather be stupid than hoping for things like this.

You can't even buy the coin it's just being "mined" and also there is not a option to send coins. It's just a bad state for now. The only thing they have is a lot of publicity.

I can't say for sure if this pi crypto is actually legit, although have been seeing alot of people post about it, but to me having 15million users doesn't guarantee that it's a gem or something, shit coins can be given to millions and still won't have any value, I saw some people saying it's been around since last year, if that's true how come the token is not yet listed on any exchange? and whats the utility of this pi crypto?, cause if there's no utility mining this token will be a complete waste of time and energy.

It's quite easy to determine that whether pi is legit or not and just take the date from CMC. This coin is also an old coin that being created after electroneum was waining the momentum a few years ago.
The claim was BS. I don't even understand why people keep talking whether this one is legit or not while there are lots of evidence that proven this coin was a crap coin.
CMC is more than enough to prove it. PI mining app just a crap app.
