I had a conversation with a friend today about Bitcoin, investment and its very high transaction fees, he expressed his displeasure saying that like him, many others that he knew are no longer considering btc to invest in, rather, they are looking to invest in other crypto's.
Do you think it is too late for someone to invest in btc? Especially when it is not a huge sum?

You are totally wrong, if that is true, why there are too many institutions that invested in bitcoin, there are big and private companies that accept bitcoin.
Bitcoin is being popular and that is the reason bitcoin price now pumped so much because they know that this is a good potential for storing value. Maybe yes, bitcoin has been failed on the peer-to-peer transaction but in storing value people, will believe that they will get more profit upon holding bitcoin.
That is the fact here.

Well, the value of bitcoin will dismiss all such rumors, whether large individuals and companies will invest in a project that is losing popularity and is no longer interesting to investors, maybe people are smart enough and calculated enough to get the answers, we are looking to make money and of course, we will never invest in a project that has lost popularity. Some people's attention shifted to other crypto just because bitcoin has hit a big enough hit this year, chances are less for it than for other crypto but once it cools down, people will start flocking to it again

actually during the pandemic and the increase in the price of bitcoin, the popularity of bitcoin was increasing and there were lots of advertisements and good news or news about bitcoin on social media and so on, and made a lot of new people involved from various circles

We can't actually tell if they're already late on bullish until it drops. ATM, it doesn't change still resisting again to come back on ATH and it doesn't show any signs that it'll drop sooner or later so they still have chances for investing in BTC. Yes, they're left out on the bull run but there will be always an opportunity to earn. There are what-ifs in investments and add those knowledge about the market, anything can be possible. Imagine if bitcoin still rises until it reaches a hundred thousand, then it is still profitable for those who are late to invest. Actually, there are no late investors, maybe they just want to risk because it's a huge benefit if they hodl it longer. Bitcoin doesn't lose its popularity, there are plenty of people who're interested and still waiting for it to drop.

According to data published by JPMorgan's strategists, the influx of Bitcoin retailers has exceeded institutional investment so far this quarter.

Retail investors have bought 187,000 BTC so far this quarter, compared to about 205,000 BTC in the last quarter. Over the same period, institutions purchased about 173,000 BTC, less than the nearly 307,000 BTC purchased in the last quarter. The figures show that investor interest in Bitcoin is no longer dominated by Wall Street players, as it was last year. This, in my opinion, shows that the popularity of Bitcoin has not diminished.

I think it is never too late to buy Bitcoin, because the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise. Even if we buy Bitcoin for $ 58k, will still make a profit.

It is never too late to enter in a market which get more popular by day. It is best to get on it rather than standing on the side wishing you'd had got in. Like many people on here, there are plenty who regret no buying BTC when it was under 10K because it was thought that it was too high of a price. Look at BTC now! Sometimes we need to look at the history to help us make better decisions. This is one of those times.

Quite the opposite with what's happening to me recently. I have several friends who came and asked for advice on whether or not it's still safe to buy bitcoin, or at what price should they buy to maximize their investment. They are eager to learn still and do not feel left out, however they are kinda regretting that they haven't started years ago when I first introduced them to bitcoin. The number of curious bystanders on bitcoin increased significantly these past few months. Though not all of them have the intention to buy, I think that still counts as an interest to them that contributes to bitcoin's popularity right now.

I've been read this same question since 2017 and i think almost everyone who believes in crypto knows the answer.

There's no such thing as "too late" in my opinion as long as Bitcoin's price continue to go up. Your friend just need to chill and don't buy when the price of Bitcoin is surging to avoid expensive transaction fee, simple as that. However, it's not as bad as well if he is going to invest as well to other Cryptocurrency like ETH, MONERO, or even LITECOIN or whatever he find promising in the long run.

What I only like about investing in Bitcoin is that it's high volatility makes a good profit in the long run.

They had their chance, they didn't take it. They still have a chance, yet they are just complaining and whining how they missed the opportunity. Again there are those that missed the boat and are now just bashing crypto currencies in every possible way. It's just because they regret. Everyone still has their opportunity. Instead of investing in some random shitty altcoins, they can invest those money in bitcoin (no need to hold one whole bitcoin!) and make some good profit in the long run.

People will of course prefer Altcoins for the reason prices matters but some investors convert their profits into Bitcoin rather than holding it all in Altcoins which is pretty risky compared to Bitcoin. I don't think Bitcoin is fading out and losing popularity because it is now the new play ground of some institutional investors.

I have opposite thinking about this. If you are new in crypto your first and long term investment should be in bitcoin. Even though the price of bitcoin is high, but in the long run the investment in bitcoin will be the most profitable one and safe too. If you can buy any other alt, you will not be sure if it will grow in the long run.

There are so many people who is being FOMO or fear of missing out in which they are thinking that they are already late on the roller coaster ride of this bitcoin especially today that we are seeing that the bitcoin is very successful and stable on around $58,000 to $61,000 and many people is thinking that it is not worth it to buy bitcoin anymore today because of the high transactional fees which is really brought by the extensive pump of bitcoin but what I can suggest is if you are looking for a long-term investment then I could probably say that investing to bitcoin is more profitable in the long run.
