I don't think that you should be going into this investment thinking that it will solve all your issues.

That's just unproductive, and you're going to be terribly disappointed at the results you get.

I would suggest holding a mix of BTC/ETH/ADA for the long term. Ride out any fluctuations in the short run and don't worry about what's the next up and coming hype coin.

for $200, you shouldn't segregate your assets too much, especially for expensive coins like bitcoin or ethereum. if you want to share it, it might be better on 2 altcoins like BNB and ADA, or other potential altcoins. however, the benefits are small if you choose ethereum or bitcoin. Yeah, that's what I thought.
personally, I would probably go for BNB and MATIC. currently both have great potential at the end of this year.

With a capital of $200 you can't buy a lot of altcoins and maybe for a fair profit you can only buy two or three altcoins that you think are profitable in the long run, my advice is the top altcoins besides bitcoin and ethereum you can buy buy buy buy consider and do the best possible analysis before doing it.
and if you want to invest bitcoin or ethereum you have to choose one to buy it and don't rush to do it because you have to wait for a slight dip between the two. and do it for the long term so that the profits you get, make you triggered to add more capital to do it.

Cardano (ADA) has lost some good part of its price, so buying it might be a good investment. In the last 1.5 months ADA lost almost 30%. This altcoin has a great potential and can aim on taking Ethereum position, or minimum stealing part of its dominance. I would say that current price is a good price to buy for a long term investment.

Polygon (MATIC) is showing good gains at the moment. It might be good to jump in for a few days or weeks in it.

Both coins that you mentioned are good for both long term and short term depends from how will you take the market,
those coins provides opportunities since we are experiencing a good market bounce now, the small spike down gives investors
a good chance to invest and hold those coins.

As someone who is new to the crypto world, you should try to buy coins that have a large market cap.
you can see it on coinmarketcap. I suggest you buy altcoins that are in the big top 1o.
at least your money is safer because the altcoin already has a good reputation, many have made purchases and
which stores the coins are also a lot.
For beginners, don't try to buy shitcoin, it's really tempting because the increase in coins can be up to 1000% or more.

It completely depends on you. $200 is not a huge amount to diversify your portfolio. You should know that this market is already in a very high price. Hopefully this market can go further but something opposite could also happen. So be careful. And one more thing if you are new to this market, I recommend sticking with large cap coins. Hopefully they give small gains but they are more piercing. But if you know this market, you can invest anywhere.
