Yes it is possible to rollback the token from bep-20 to erc-20 as it will be the same wallet and if supported by the exchange you will definitely get it back however many exchanges have a rule that if you send wrong wallet address or use wrong bep-20 or erc -20 it will be lost forever, i used to trade and exchange does not support bep -20 and i lost that amount forever mine, especially this we have to be very careful if we don't read it carefully it will be very easy to lose money and very difficult to get it back.

just had made a mistake like this, sent 500 USD as BEP20 to an ERC20 address.
Did you also send it to a centralized exchange or a custodial wallet? It shouldn't be a problem if you sent it to a non-custodial wallet.

It is already complicated to understand all the different cryptos, now on top the different networks where they operate.
I've been in crypto for a few years and I still cannot understand everything. The crypto space is moving so fast that it's hard to keep up. Back in 2017, you hardly hear of blockchain interoperability but it's getting widespread now. Metamask used to support only Ethereum before but they also support BSC, HECO, MATIC, and more.

This is why people turn away from crypto
A few decades back, internet was too complicated for many people. Look at how many people embracing it now.

It would be easier to recover if that happens between two wallet address that you have power over (recovery seed or private key) but now that it's coinbase wallet address they are the only one that can help you, sadly if the token amount is not much they may not help, try contacting the team

When I was in crypto for the first time I did the same thing. Since BSC & Ether both are different different blockchain that's why your money is transferred to the other blockchain. You sent to your Coinbase address and they are not supporting other blockchain of same token as you said. In this case you need to contact the the support via mail and explain all the things and give transaction related details to check the problem. Because you sent to an exchange which doesn't support the BEP20 token that is lost. But, if you request them then they might help you to refund the sent token.

One of my local guy mistakenly sent a token from Bep20 to a coinbase address of ERC20. He used trust wallet to send the token. Now, as far as I know his tokens are lost forever.
I don’t know any way of recover the token. I anyone of you knows, please tell me the process.

It is a terrible mistake when you confuse networks as if this standart is not supported by this network or platform, your coins will be lost. Honestly saying, it is one of my big fair to confuse the chain, as I understand that there is no support centre that can help me and I am the only responsible, so I always do all operations very slowly and careful.

As far as I know, there is no such thing on Coinbase but maybe I'm missing information or anything that leads to it, because I haven't used Coinbase for a long time.
but maybe when the OP contacted the team they might be able to help with that even though the odds are 50:50.
and what you say is very true, the exchanges here are so many that they can't even be counted on the fingers even in a matter of seconds. and when we have made a mistake in making a transaction, following it will be very inconvenient and requires time, thoroughness and a careful and careful attitude may be very suitable to be used as a warning and advice so as not to repeat the same thing

Bep20 tokens can't recover in Coinbase Erc20 address because there is no option to see tokens and this is a centralized wallet, you can contact to Coinbase and request to send tokens to your Bep20 wallet but I think there is no chance to recover.

The only way he can recover the token, if he can somehow get the private keys from his ERC20 coinbase wallet, and just import it to metamask. Then he'd just need to add BEP20 chain to metamask, and voila, coins are there

You are right When the user himself has made a mistake by sending the fund to the wrong network, then it is normal for him to have this kind of problem. Coinbase really has nothing to do here, now waiting for this fund will also be a futile task. Contacting Coinbase's support does not result in any good results. Because they have nothing to do with it because this mistake is entirely up to that user.

This is the only way to recover his tokens. But there is no way to get the private keys of his Coinbase ERC20 wallet. Coinbase is a centralized wallet and never shows the seed phrase or private keys.

Well maybe he can find some good soul in wallet support who finds his story sad and does this for him.
I've known people who managed to do it via support. So worth a shot

I think it's lost forever because coinbase don't provide private key also they don't support BSC chain yet. As you don't have any access you can't recover it by yourself. You can try to get help from the support. But the chance is 0%.

I had a similar error on another exchange, I sent ETC to the ETH address, everything was resolved quickly with support there, here is your situation deadlocked, because coinbase does not support this network, but I would write to support in your place, maybe the problem will be solved.

In fact, if you do not send the coinbase account, but could try. There is probably no system to recover your coinbase wallet here. And I don't know how he transferred the token to Coinbase. But I think his token is lost forever.

Is it solved? I dont think its possible to send the token over network without Bridge, moreover the token itself possibly not deployed on another network. The another problem is the address isnt yours, its coinbase.

if it's in the CEX market, it's very hard to return. try sending a support message on coinbase, and asking for it to be returned. however, since it was a fatal error, the chances of it being reversed were very small.
however, if it is sent to your wallet address, you may still be able to use a chain bridge to retrieve the mis-sent token. anyway, don't get your hopes up
