About Paxful, I have friends really complaining about the risk associated with selling gift cards on such platform, maybe this is limited to my area, but people are the ones buying and selling such cards (p2p), I am not sure if organizations are buying it too on the platform which would be safer? But people are so dubious, they can check unused gift card and tell the seller it is used. Some people (buyer) can have a reputed account on the platform, but the seller is more at risk in this case scenario. This is just to inform OP about the risks involved if someone is in the selling position.
The risks of trading on a person to person platform are a matter of course. What a platform can do is give their users maximum support to minimize phishing, it cannot be completely prevented. However, that is not really a big problem, if I remember correctly, to protect my interests, buyers can record video from the time of receiving the giftcard to using the gift card. It will be proof to protect them.
A bigger problem I had was transaction execution. New accounts often do not have a chance to access good offers, and if they do, sellers are likely to ignore them. No one is interested in newbies, they are only interested in longtime users who may be reputable (although those account is usually sold). It took me over a week to wait and buy the gift card there, but I didn't receive anything
I gave up
