$300 bitcointalk poker freeroll on Betnomi March 28th

Yes you are reading this correctly, $300 freeroll on Sunday March 28th instead of our normal poker series tourney. We have reached our final 9 in the SERIES and there is no way for anyone else to qualify. Also, there are no players who qualify for the losers game, so I talked with the owner and he is giving a $300 freeroll instead of a losers game.

Everyone is invited to play in this freeroll. It will have a password and users can pm me for the password once the tourney is listed in the lobby. I'll post in this thread when the freeroll is up. Do not multi-account as you will not get paid.

It's good that you mention it, one should be 100% sure that they can play except obviously force majeure that can occur,  but if something bothers in MTT Freeroll are the absent players, I think that if they are not 100% sure that they can play they should not request the PW. IMHO

Agree on this, that's why I warned who is putting some efforts to have game running ( thanks yahoo for this) : anyway logged just now and still with 21K chips, lets see if somehing good comes out.

You made a good fold there, I was trying to make it looks like I was desperate to steal the pot by raising it to pot size bet on the turn hoping that anyone with K or any pair would hero call me but nope that didnt happen.

Way too tight for a freeroll. I should have started very loose and tried to make up some stack in the end got bad beat KQ vs A10? Q on the flop but opponent hits flush on the river. I missed a couple of easy wins when i was SB and I folded straight away when ppl were limping in and I hit trips twice there. Anyways, thanks for the tourney. Was fun getting back to poker after a long long time.

Game was soooo passive at bubble, chipleader could have cleared the table with ease.

I had to take out the 5th just to get kicked myself with AQ vs QQ setup pre allin .

Well 4th is better than bubble but given how passive the 2 small stacks were it was a lost chance to win more.

I was honestly thinking through the cards any second I had, Im definitely playing a bit slower then a few people more used to the speed of the games normally.

I was slightly late there, red devil avatar was me.    My nephew was born Friday and they wanted some deliveries to their house so few minutes late at the start my apologies.   Amazed I even lasted till the end, alot of luck and just forcing myself to go in.   Way faster games then Im used to but was good set of tabels, thanks to all who came.    One guy who was going to come with me had his wisdom teeth out (I didnt realise it done recently), ongoing recovery impaired his ability to put in the register password apparently so he got lost before the game unfortunately but he watched me broadcasting the game the whole deal.

You're a good player. Well played. I agree with you, everyone was playing very defensively at bubble. It should have ended 20-30 minutes earlier than actual.

I was busy at work so my father played from my account. I watched the final table from another account. He was running really lucky. With that luck and defensive play from the remaining players, he should have pushed others and crush small stacks quickly, especially when others were calling minimum with cards like Q7, lol. Nevertheless, win is win! I'm surprised as well as pleased that he won.

Bad beat is part of the game and its always better to be lucky than to be good   . Well atleast for me , It was a fun game because this weekend supposed to be another usual weekend game but it was changed into freerolls instead so yeah atleast I get to play some fun poker today. It was a good change of pace playing with different people this time instead of just the usual regulars

I was expecting some people to be crazy because this is a freeroll, probably jamming 80+bb after just 30 minutes of playing but there wasnt any.

Thanks for sharing! So, you wasn't bluffing there. I remember losing all-in to you couple of times in our previous tournaments, because I thought you were bluffing, while you weren't.

I had joined in the lobby but was unable join at any table. Maybe the game has started before 18:00 UTC. There was three table and 7 players at each of them. Also there was two empty sits at each table.

I felt like I was holding up great, although at first I made a few mistakes that led to the fact that half of my stack went to Betwrong. However, when 4 out of 5 players have stack size of only 8 blinds, it is quite difficult to keep balance. At this stage of the game, a wrong call will turn you into defeat, because in the next hand anyone will support your raised, since the opponent's stack does not look threatening enough.

Yeah, thats just turns more into a luck game. If you are getting trash cards, you just cant do anything. Calling isn't an option for min raises, all in or fold(When close to 5-8 blinds). Could be very helpless when you arent hitting anything at all..and the big stack vaccuming all the blinds in. The dread of just blinding out without ever getting a chance to play your game. I was almost close to that. I chose to go all in on KQ off while I was left with 8 blinds. I did hit q on the flop but the opponent ended up with a flush on the river, knocking me off the board. Tough decision but that's just poker and its variance. Luckily being a free roll doesn't hurt as much as buy ins. So, its all good.
