The forum was initially created for bitcoin discussions. It is bitcoin forum per se. After years, it has changed and altcoins as well as many other issues are discussed here. I am very skeptical about Google lately. Tracking is their main task. Google on this he makes money. Therefore, the OP is right, real people communicate here who can tell really real information about the state of affairs in different countries. Google, in addition to collecting all possible information about us, can also slip us facts that do not correspond to reality.
I adhere more to the principle of trusting people and communicating with people who live directly in a particular country than reading news that may be unreliable.

No doubt is for real people and who voices out some real information or news they also heard in my opinion. You are right that some of those relay information sometime contains vague or fake news however, Google is the easiest source of those regardless of the authencity. People here are surely uses Google at least one for their needs of knowing something at some point. I think there is no day I didnt use that search engine.

But so happy that this forum can be like the hub for gathering info without much fake news. Since we have different local boards that usually updated by different users filled with new informations.

It serves its purposes due to the fact that people serves so many topics around the globe but we cannot rely the information provided here since we don't know how accurate it is that's why I always use google upon searching up some information related to what I want to know especially on cryptocurrency talks and more informative details about the latest news on the industry.

the forum was not about the "earnings' in the first place. but theymos made it possible to earn to at least help those in the poorer country to have additional income apart from their job and I commend him for that since I myself and I am sure hundreds of members from poorer countries(maybe thousands or more) have benefited from this point of view of his. I just hope that he wouldn't remove signature campaigns in the future.

Am new to this forum and I can attest to the fact that bitcointalk is truly a source for informations, but again earning was never part of the fundamentals of the forum just like the merit system was never part of the forum their were introduced just as an incentive to users to motivate them. I would say both google and the forum can be used simultaneously to gather knowledge and information.

 I specifically use this forum to get detailed information about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency projects. To get news and what is happening latest in the world of cryptocurrency I rely on Google.
