Please Help: How to install Electrum on Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS in a simple way

Dear Bitcointalker!

i am having trouble installing Electrum on my Ubuntu run computer.

Could you kindly indicate me a simple method of doing it, since i am limited in IT skills.

Ideally i could just download an app and install it!

It's easy to install just download the appimage from here https://electrum.org/#download

And then open the folder where the Electrum.appimage right-click the file and go to properties(You need to make it executable to make it work) so you need to enable "Make the file executable" then ok.

Now double click the appimage it should run the Electrum.

If not work, there is another option, you can run Electrum with python you can find the installation guide from the link above under "Installation from Python sources"

First of all, make sure you want to download the electrum on a computer that is safe and has not malware. You will need to visit https://electrum.org/, click on downloaded, then click on Linux (Appimage), and download. Make sure you verify the GPG signature for Linux.

It is a 5-step-plan:

1) Head over to electrum.org
2) Download the .AppImage file and its corresponding signature file
3) Verify the signature using PGP
4) Change the permissions (make it executable: chmod +x FILENAME)
5) Run it
