File coin has also doubled its value over the past couple of days... Anybody know what's going on here? Data is priceless so I can see why these coins would be or should be valuable... I also think that's because of Coinbase why storj has increased a lot.

And because that it's already on Coinbase, the trades that are happening there are the main reason even after the news, the liquidity that it is providing to the market triggered the pump of it.

Common thing because not all coins would be pumping out if a certain coin get listed only on the coin will really be having that significant increase which is a typical situation
because getting listed on a known exchange or platform will really be creating some interest and hype where people would be buying out lots into those exchange where
it is currently listed until the time comes that it will be listed then this is where the situation gets even more being hyped.You should really look into this one as a
common stuff because people usually Fomo'ed when a certain coin gets listed.Im aware with Storj back in the past but i didnt expect for it to be listed on coinbase.

It's caused by there are lots of announcements and that's the point. The recent announcements that were coming from the coinbase were pushing storj even higher than before but if you are active on its telegram group or official announcement and i thought that you will be seeing so much good news that brought a lot of sentiments to the coin.
I thought that if this must be the reason why storj is surging so hard

You have to follow that project on their social accounts and join their telegram group so you can know the updates and for sure, you’ll see the reason behind that crazy pump and you might be able to join it before it goes crazy to make profit.

This is the effect of exchange listing especially on a huge market. I’ve known STORJ since then and I can really say that its one of the good project in the market, now we earned a good updates from them, maybe they can start to go back on track and do a better services again. Looks like the hype of Coinbase is a big thing, will probably watch for some announcement with coinbase about listing.

Been such a long time since anyone talked up these kinds of projects. I think the idea of distributed storage is a great one, the only problem is buying storage is still very cheap to a lot of companies and people (I can spend $50 now and get 5TB storage for myself for example, which can last me years until I need to get a new one and by that time $50 can get me maybe 15TB).

It's a magic effect by listing on the major exchange site. You must know that if coinbase is the best exchange site in US and it already got bitlicense. Binance can't even get bitlicense to be operated in the newyork as a potential continent to get more and more crypto customers.
That's a common thing to see storj got hyped due to this news.
The long-term hodlers are the winners. It's not even usual news. Do you think it's easy to be listed on coinbase? i don't think so.
