Hey, I just started looking into all this and slowly figuring it out. About a week ago, I stumbled on a shitcoin that is literally bouncing back and forth from 0.0000007 to 0.001. I want to drop a little money into it, but definitely seems to good to be true. The coin is called Netkoin and it's been going up and down dramatically for weeks. I know there's gotta be some kind of risk, but can't figure out what it is and wondering if I should just go for it?

Any advice on this would be awesome!

Actually what i am seeing here is that you are not Stumbling to This coin instead you are promoting this In most simple and Not obvious way But sorry tons of like you had already done this.

1. The project has died and got abandoned from the developer [1]
2. Only listed on 3 exchanges and 100% volume transaction are came from Mercatox scam exchanges [2] [3]
3. Insanely pump and dump without any valid reason [4]

Since you're new better to stick with top 2 coin and learning how it works etc.

Also, I really am new to this and haven't even started investing yet. I wasn't trying to plug a coin, I literally just looked at which coins had the biggest gain on Coin Market Cap and saw that it had huge swings. I really didn't understand why no one was investing in it, given the swings. I just watched a video from Coin Bureau on it and I think I get it now. If I'm not mistaken, I may be able to buy the coins, but won't be able to sell them or trade them. Is that right?

People didn't interested to invest in this coin caused by so many reason just like

1. that's a crap coin
2. it doesn't have proper development
3. it may have so many suspicious things

In my opinion if you should not throw your money to this coin. Is not it too risky to play a swing trade in the coin that has no liquidity in the market? You can see that the daily volume of netkoin is very small.
If there's no buyer and then you will not able to sell your coin.

Avoid to deal with the garbage coin.

If you see it happen to the other coin, you need to wait for a while because that is a pump. That will always come to many coins. After that, the dump will come and the coin price will go down drastically to the lowest price. You do not need to enter the market because that will be too risky and you can lose your money because that can be a trap for traders who are still trying to enter the market. You better search for the other coin, which still at a low price, but always analyze before doing something.

To be honest I will not suggest to invest to these type of coins. It’s right that after investing in it you maybe earn massive income like gamblers.

You also have the chance to lost almost of your holding. Now decide you, it would be worth or not.

I don’t recommend it mate, choose better coins in the market instead. You can select from top 100 in marketcap or you can get a low cap coins but make sure to do your homework about the project that you are interested in. Do not fomo and trust your research, your experience will help you improve in the long run.

If you new to cryptocurrency investment then pursuing or investing in coin because it was among the highest gain will make you lose your investment. Most of this altcoin are hype base project and it pump in price shouldn't be trust.
You said it yourself that the coin goes up and down in price anytime show it to be total risk investment.

It's now even ranked #4013. With total crypto there are around 9,000 coins, that's not a good sign for this coin. Better to stick 100 top coins or 200 coins instead looking for pump and dump coin to earn quick money. That's too risky even for experienced trader

That will be too risky to buy that coin, even if that coin has a low price. You can select from the top 50 to buy the coin and do not buy a new coin.
We need to wait for a while to see if that coin has the potential to increase or not.
But if you still insist on buying that coin, go ahead and hold it for some time, but we do not guarantee if you need longer to see if that coin can rise or it will disappear from the market.
If you can invest in the top 50, I think you will have more chances to profit, but that is up to you.

The ATR(Average True Range) of this small caps coin is very high considering that the price varies as you mention. It's better to avoid that kind of coin because its volume is and you will just gonna trap on shitcoin whenever the coin got delist or the orderbook become empty.

Better to look on small cap coin with 500K above trading volume on a legit exchange. Question, How do you find that shitcoin out of thousands of coin available in the market?

Its a death trap so just avoid it, if you are looking at the price alone then you will fall many times so you also need to look at the trading volume and where the coin was listed, if there is no reputed exchange available then don't invest at all.

you are too brave to be on the coin, I think you are taking your money and turning to coins that already have potential. because I see that netkoin has no significant development and does not have enough potential to grow. so my suggestion is whether you are still sure of it. your decision on yourself

Agree with the feedback from everyone here 100%. I would actually not even care about market rank and just look at the project itself and see that the only activity surrounding it is shill discussions and random meaningless tweets,,, no real value. Just like 99% of altcoins.

Find a project with a coin you can actually use and a channel where people actually talk to each other:)

I can imagine when you have been investing your money on this coin and you are getting lost instantly without needed a lot of time. This is a pump and dump coin and you will take a very big risk.

It's your own decision but you can try to think wisely about that. It's better to allocate your money to the legit coin that can still bring you a lot of profit.

Actually I never try to buy an altcoin that has a low price and didn't have a good function to be used by most crypto user.

Because, almost altcoin that still has a low price and its volatility is really high is being used as pump and dump scheme by some investor.

Your chance to get maximal profit is low and you have a high risk to lose your money. I just buy the top ten altcoin based on coinmarketcap and yeah you can feel it how comfortable you are when the correctio for all crypto prices coming.

Indeed, choosing a better coin is not easy in which need more information that can be demand of many here in crypto currency community. Just like the plans of the developer that can give a detailed informations to the investors and may lead a long term investment that can be supported of many users.

I agree. @OP don't do the same mistakes that I made in my early days in cryptocurrency. Focus first in learning about investing in cryptocurrency and that's the best thing you will do to have a brilliant start in investing. I recommend having great review about the project first before you can jump into it and if you have few proofs that the project can make you profit in the long run then don't continue investing to this project. In that case, most of the opinion of the users here have the same, and some proofs that the project is not good so I suggest exiting your investment in that project.
