Opening Day for the 2021 MLB season begins tomorrow (April 1) so I wanted to get a thread going for all future MLB betting/discussions/promotions.

As the oldest of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada, a total of 30 teams play in Major League Baseball:
15 teams in the National League (NL) and 15 teams in the American League (AL).

There are 15 games on the board for tomorrow's Opening Day and Future Markets also available so let's get this 2021 MLB Season started off with some winners!

What a coincidence! I actually put a cheeky bet last week on Boston Red Sox as the slight underdog in training with Tampa Bay -- and they ended up winning. All my baseball knowledge comes from TV and Liverpool owners' association with Red Sox (them ending their 80+ year wait for the WS is still one of the greatest sporting stories in modern times however you look at it!). Almost every movie I think in the 1980s and 1990s if they ever went to the future would ask if Red Sox had won it yet haha.

Let's see what MLB newbie luck can do for me!

I'm posting the World Series odds for anyone interested in the MLB season.

Double for the opening MLB season for me, going for New York Yankees and Chicago cubs @2.20 odds is pretty good for a start. Let see how it goes I'm pretty optimistic.

Rough game for the Yankees.  Should have won that game.  Had men on 1st and 3rd with one out in the bottom of the ninth and couldn't get it done.  Not a good way to start the season for sure.  Good thing its 162 games.  I had them too and under 7.5 which hit.

Yeah quite unfortunate day to start a season I wasn't expecting this results to be this bad, losing 2/2 is definitely not a good sign. Today I'm going for Seattle Mariners against Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres vs Arizona Under 8.5.

The most highest odds for tomorrow's match is for Colorado Rockies on sportsbet against Dodgers on sportsbet.



It will interesting to watch the match between both of them but Colorado Rockies are in more advanced and beneficial stage and I am going to place my bet on them.

Bad start for me as well, did a double parlay on the opening 2 games' favourites and they both crashed out. Early season blues -- tried following the games on Live Google update but I have to say I really don't know what's going on;)

Might spend a bit of time reading up and maybe watching a game or something. BoSox in 3.5 hours? I put down something small on the World Series for them to get it at those sweet 52/1 odds but Yankees are good value even after their loss last night!

Happy to say my outright selection (BoSox) is looking good top of their league table, only two other teams in National League have the same joint highest wins (16) and 9 losses.

I've been reading up a little so I know it's a long way to go in a 162 game season (!!) but happy to see my outright team taking early lead despite the loss on the opener.

How're you guys doing?

I like to bet on my team, NY Yankees who are 11-13 on the season...
Also took them to win the World Series @ 6.36 earlier this month and just added some more @ 8.19 odds (with Price Boost).

Just saw Phillies have a really decent home record, but happy to see BoSox still leading their table after 7 more games, almost up to the 20% season mark but still a long, long way to go. Is it usual for them to have a good away record, not by a large distance though.

Thinking to hedge my outrights with one or two more semi-favourites, if Yankees gets a 10/1 I'm putting some on them for sure;)

After trailing in second in AL East for a while, BoSox have now reclaimed 1st spot at the halfway point. Feeling pretty good, reading a bit about baseball when I can and still can't make much out of the game reports but they're super aggressive it seems, and it's improved their record both home and away. If they keep this up, it'll be hard to see anyone breathe in the same space. Outrights on World Series aren't available anymore but they're distinct favs to top AL East and 6/1 to win AL.

Not so good for the Yankees, huh mr power... whose candidates for starring roles seem to be having the worst season. But I think they just need to string together a few good games, or... rebuild? I feel like in baseball, for some teams at least, they really don't like doing that.

Not sure I fully understand the season end but my BoSox outright looks in danger now after they lost all 3 games to Yankees, only a handful of games left to determine if their wild card chase ends well but they've been disastrous since July. Should still make it as it's just Orioles and Nationals to cap off the season, but they'll need Blue Jays to do them a favour against Yankees (right?).

Guess I really wasn't kidding when I said BoSox might be purging out all their losses so they can rule in the playoffs -- lost badly to Orioles, now if they lose again that 3-3 suddenly looks in jeopardy, but yeah, I suppose they know the numbers and so do everyone else. Are teams generally likely to play by those numbers and "throw" games once they know where they're at? To try and get the teams they want in positions they want, I mean.

So, we now arrive at the final stretch of the season and BoSox really want to play more games, don't they? Expected to win easily, they now lost twice badly to Orioles. This guy Mountcastle should now be a lifelong fan of Red Sox haha.

Amazingly, this has resulted in a possibility for a 4-way tie, which apparently, is a sort of rarity in baseball end-of-season.

4-way tie possible if in the last 3 matches: Yankees 0-3; Red Sox 2-1, Mariners 2-1, Blue Jays 3-0. Yankees losing everything, yeah right huh?

Last thing I want is a two-way tie for 1st wild card, though, as then it's Yankees BoSox at Fenway, and they currently cannot win.

So, favours all done and dusted, and final game of the season, BoSox already pulled off 2 of the minimum victories they needed and are now tied with Yankees for the top wildcard spot. I guess they couldn't have asked for it any better than this in the end?
