And we're through! Fenway magic, all that pent-up Covid quiet released. Singles all won, Playoff Series winner bet won, and my outright's still alive. Weird feeling to get in a lot of wins from my maiden betting season here. Beginner's luck?

I get it they are in the American league championship but the giants seem like such a better buy right now.  They need one more game against the dodgers I get it but if they get through they are the odds on favorite by far they have to be with the year they had.  Especially having to go through the dodgers so many times, which are definately 1a.

What did you mean by "they" in the American league championship? (Serious, am asking in case I'm missing out on a reference or summat).

So, Astros ran riot and now get to meet Red Sox -- early odds are 2.35 on BoSox to win this 7-game series. Hoping for a quick start again, although they've got the most comeback wins this season.

But now they need to win the monumental winner-takes-all with both teams registering 100 wins. Gotta say well done Dodgers for getting the series to a tight 2-2 near the finish line. Can't write off the defending champs, I guess.

Final Giants-Dodgers series Game is early Friday for me, as is every other game really so no watching, only waking up to results.

Damn Sox. lost the tiebreaker so start the series with a loss. Not even Kike could save us. Astro's Correa may play his final season but he made sure they remember him well. Almost 10 years, that's something in modern baseball, huh?

Damn. 2 innings, 2 grand slams. All the work practically done early, and Sox give themselves a huge lift to welcome Astros to Fenway for the next 3 games. Win all that and the series is over -- probably too optimistic to ask for that, but I'm sure anyone would take this tie at this stage if offered last week.

Not so good for Dodgers now trailing 0-2, but they also get the same 3-game stretch at home to turn things around.

Both calling for some martingale action =D Saw an early $1500 bet on Astros for the next game already, deep down something in me scratching to match that in the other direction...

For me, I'd say the most important lesson from yesterday's Astro's game is to never giving up no matter the  situation. You have to keep pushing.

Well, that's it for me guys. Shutout at 0-5 with a game to spare. And then them admitting Astros catchers were "really good" heh.

Perhaps a bit disappointed more than anything that they lost the series mainly by not taking advantage of Fenway magic. Astros are through, and we wait to see if Dodgers can avoid another loss to keep their fight through to the end.

Something told me the Braves were going to win this one and I have a few extra coins laying around so I decided to toss some at the Braves for tonight.  It is looking like that was most likely a good call since they have gotten themselves a nice little lead at the moment going into the end of the game.  I've always been a fan of the Braves so it was destiny.  Maddox & Glavine were on another level back in the day and once they picked up Fred McGriff it was game over for the National League.  The only pair I liked more as a kid was Kevin Mitchell & Will Clark.

Astros (0-1), as a curious fact today they open the roof a situation that has not happened since 2005 ... "superstitions" looking for help "astros/stars" literal ...

As a MLB fan that in our knowledge limit without using GoogSearch we can remember certain names and statistics Greg Maddux is an easy one ... besides that in Atlanta he used an exclusive Latin catcher as a favorite although this was not a starter and that really the most important thing that he did was be Maddux's favorite Catcher.

Altuve hit his 22nd home run in Tuesday's win to level the series.

Altuve is currently the shortest player in the major leagues is a hitter who breaks paradigms and undoubtedly a fundamental part of the Astros in the resurgence of this team in recent years.

There was no game 7 and the Atlanta Braves were "bravos" and won the World Series.
As for the bets, my Roi was equal to the result of this series Houston (2-4).

I just want to bump again this thread to update you guys that the lockout was extended and the opening day is set to April 14 which is supposed to be March 31. The issue between the owners and players union is still not clear which already affects the total number of games for this season. They are just both hurting themselves by prolonging and I really hope they will come up to agreement. I really missed baseball betting especially that NBA is already close to playoffs.

@jeremypwr thanks for updating this thread for the bonus in MLB. I almost forgot this thread due to lack of activities here but I guess the world series will create some spark on MLB!

I was surprised that Phillies will represent the NL this year since I’m a huge fan of Harper due to his consistentency and hardwork on this team for a long time but Astros is very formidable this year after sweeping the crowd favorite Yankees to be on this Worls Series. My prediction will go to Astros but my heart will on Philies. I hope my prediction was wrong so Bryce can finally get what he deserves.
