Hello MLB old new friend, actually last week made the mistake of thinking new World Series was starting soon but only just realised it was actually about to be decided -- got confused by the term "postseason" I been reading.

I'll throw in a bet this way too and then back the woeful team I did in '21 once more when new season starts (that's in March, right?).

I'm picking the Houston Astros to win the 2022 World Series
Been watching a lot of T20 World Cup lately so decided to add the Shaheens to get their first win of the tournament

Woot woot. It seems Astros is losing there edge against Philies after a 7-0 score on game 3. I’m starting to believe that Philies can beat Astros based on there current run. They have the momentum in every even on game 2 which Astros has an early 3-0 lead against them but still Philies are very eager to catch against Astros even if the situation is dire for them.

I will start to place my bet right after the game 4 which I assume Astros will come back to even the series.

^ Which makes it all the more profitable (to my mind) to bet on Astros, so that's where my money and prediction goes for the next game. When was the last time a team won the Series after losing the first 3 games? Has it ever happened?

Hahaha. Anyway recovering on a 3-0 deficit is very rare on the current team of MLB due to there so close stats.

The series is already tied as expected on my previous comment. This is interesting because Astro show a dominance performance on the 5th inning of the game. I didn't expect that Aaron Nola will loose his ball control in 5th inning that leaves Alvarado as substitute in a lot of pressure with a full bases. This is the most sucks situation for a sub pitcher to enter because batter is on fire due to adrenaline and very hard to s.o.

My bet still goes for Philie 4-3 even with this pitcher error.

Yeah, I have got a lot to learn about baseball, and may never truly understand anything until I watch a game properly. Bucket list for sure.

I got my win but it was a literal coin toss for me. Putting it all down again on Astros -- that kind of dominance suggests to me they might just push through and win the next one anyway. Shame the odds have swung back in their favour!

Turned my small outlay into a bigger outlay, had I not missed the 4th game, I'd have probably double this (was putting everything won down on Astros all the way).

Those odds for the San Fran giants don't look half bad.  41-1.  They are in a very tough division but they have a solid squad.  Boston is 34-1 and their team has completely dismantled at this point outside of Devers.  I might throw a little change on those odds.

you could actually take odds above @2 at Japan and USA on different bookies, didn't saw that too often

nevertheless, didn't bet on those, thought there is a catch somewhere, not sure was there any

I dont really follow baseball but with all those questions and potential questions in the future rounds about baseball in BSFL, I might want to pay abit attention on this thread. So Im counting on you with J mate on sharing tips or whatsoever about MLB

This kinda reminds me on the previous BSFL question, I took USA thinking that baseball is pretty much one of the favourite game on USA not knowing that Japan is actually pretty good with it as well

H2h statistics shows Houston won 4 times against Chicago White Sox for the last 5 games so I picked that one up but I kinda regretting my bet on Los Angeles Angels as I have just noticed that they have quite a number of injuries (?) so that could affect them I think

Yeah! Sportsbet has a boost on each sport every 24 hours, so I use them all the time for football, tennis, even F1, baseball like MLB when putting on early outrights if the markets come out early. Like during the World Cup, I made 4 or 5 outrights, and scored a big hit on Argentina (boosted to almost 10/1 and regular was below 8, and when tournament started, only 6/1).

As you can see, it's a modest percentage boost of around 7-10%, which doesn't make a difference for regular odds (but still useful for longshot)... but a huge difference in heavy odds, like outrights .

BoSox is sentimental for me, but if you look especially after early games, odds can shift a lot and you can still catch great odds early on. Astros won the last season but lost 8 out of their first 14 games -- not an early favourite IIRC.

So I think yeah, good to see pre-season odds, and take some of high-value mid-favourites... that's my strat, don't trust it, it's purely based on odds!
