For those who are not famiiar, https://opensea.io/, the real one, is the "The largest NFT marketplace". So obviously, since the hype on NFT is peaking, scammers are again taking one step on the game and cloning and faking those NFT sites.

And anyone that's anything but new to the crypto ecosystem would not find this surprising to say the least, anything that's received some hype on the crypto network tends to be pounced on by scammers, from ICO's to DeFi and now NFT, people should always take responsibility of their funds.

By the way, It's pretty easy to avoid this if one basically plays by the rule of thumb of interacting only with original websites, and doing so is by verifying and not trusting until you're sure the website is not a cloned one but the official.

It is very important in verifying that it is an obligation where we have to do it, we clone sites are always a little different from the word when we are careless but is it a trap if we don't verify it?

Whatever is busy and the trend is happening, clone sites will definitely exist because scamers will definitely be one of the destinations where scamers get more money, so it's no wonder other phishing sites will come as long as many people continue to like it, especially Opensea is one of the largest NFT marketplaces. .

No surprised that these criminals have started to go after the latest trend of NFT and created this similar sites. And this will not be the last, if ever this site is taken down, a new one will pop up in the next few days.

That's why as crypto enthusiast, regardless if you are a newbie or have been in the space for years, it's better to check everything first, that's the rule of thumb that we shouldn't forget.

For beginners, it's really important to verify the websites, I totally agree with @Raflesia, we have an obligation now. We don't want this criminals to steal from us. So we always should remember to confirm and authenticate.

I know that this is another burden, but rest assured if we do this, we won't fall for this and not be the next statistics to the growing numbers of being scammed by cyber criminals. Do not give them a chance to score on us.
