hi

Im new on altcon development

I pay someone to develop a coin for me, but this person turned out be a scammer,

The coin is in the Ethereum Blockchain

He gave me all the total supply, 95%, but thats it, i dont have no source code or nothing, the source code should be on the contract right??

he kept 5% of the total supply

I also listed the coin on several exchanges including Uniswap...

I would like to develop a new coin, and discharge the old one... WHAT WOULD HAPPEND TO THE OLD COIN???
> I want to use the same name, and ticker..
>would people get confuse when they look for the new coin VS the old one on Ethersca?? How can I delete the old coin on Etherscan???
>How can I make the old coin disappear??
>what are the repercussion of all this??

LoL. If you can not code, can not build up your coin, please don't start and create a clone coin.

If the guy who is hired by you is not a scammer, the high probability that the coin you have will be a copy cat from source code of other altcoins. That coin will be another useless altcoins. The market won't need it.

People will call you as a scammer because you are the CEO or core team member.

The old coin will remaint he same but when it has a very bad reputation and then you create a new clone for your old coin and your coin will be marked as another scam coin.
The old coin can be removed with the self-destruct function and when you are not even holding the contract and then youc an't do anything with it.

(....)
If you got quite good funds then hiring developers is good even you don't know how to code. There are some CEO/founders of some projects that don't know to well but they have a good team for managing the project, a good developer team, good PR, and good management.

If you want to use the same name and ticker, better if you develop a new and most improved one. You should also make your new coin more reputable or trusted so people will disregard the previous.
Haven't tried to develop some altcoins, just my 2 cents, hope it helps.

your old coin will have zero demand and no one has heard of it unless it is used in scam it can be reused, but this option is useless.
your coin value will almost zero and creating new coin is risky if you dont have any rood map plan or thinking to solve a system that solve real finance problem or be a unique project.

The developer will scam you if you pay him all the salary in one go, and the algorithm approval may determine your earning Staking/ dev coins/ Airdrop/ POS or whatever.

You cannot delete your smart contract coin if it is included in the block.

If you are not having the source code of the coin then you can't request the exchanges to delete your coins even though it is yours but what are the name of the exchanges other than Uniswap?
Anyone can create a new coin and list it on Uniswap and other decentralized exchanges even if the value of the coin is zero.

None of the prototypes that I have worked with other developers have reach public, meaning NO PUBLIC HOLDERS, is just me and the developer...
and NO AIRDROP and NO ICEO has been on my plans, FAIR AND SQUARE for everybody, in the  project whoever wants to get in, they are welcome,.. the project does have a mission, and it has functionality to solve a problem,..

my only question was, and it has been answered, what will happened to the old token, if I just decide to make a new one,,... as far as I know I can make today a token named BAKED, and tomorrow I can make another token named BAKED again, and you the day after tomorrow can make another token named BAKED, and then Zuckerberg, also names his Token named BAKED, and then your friend also names his token NAMED BAKED... you get it?? isn't all this create confusion??? they all allowed to create tokens and named them baked right??
