Of course, this is a one-sided fight again and the real deal is when Smith will gonna fight Beterbiev in the future after this one. This is the closest fight we have so it's gonna worth watching and see if he gonna show some new moves here.

I don't know why Joe Smith was heavily favoured on this fight. But I think Vlasov has a punchers chance to pull an upset. The only thing that go against Maxim though is the long lay-off as he hasn't fought for 2 years. And then he has been fighting on two weight division, cruiserweight and lightweight. Maybe this is what the punter see that gives Joe Smith the advantage and put him @1.28 ML.
This is going to be a war in my opinion though, the key for Smith is his jab and don't let Vlasov get to his sweet spot. Vlasov is an awkward fighter, typical of a European, he has the height and reach advantage (6'3 in height). But if this goes to distance though, I think Smith will have the edge and will win by decision. Hope that we will have more betting options to have better odds.

^ No way Vlasov has been considered as the underdog on this fight. I don’t see any advantage Smith JR has against him. Well, probably someone is trying to make money out of it. My Sports Analyst friend mentioned to me that Vlasov has all the advantages against smith. From combat skill and endurance. But we will see it soon. Nevertheless, the odds have to be fixed he said. But I guess it is what it is. Let see on the actual match and let us place bets and win instead.

Not familiar with the two fighters, probably heard though of Joe Smith Jr. This is for the vacant WBO LH right? So for sure this two will let it out in the ring to get that title. I check Maxim's record, 40++ fights so I would say that he is the more experienced of the two. But Joe Smith Jr could have tougher opponents and he has one good win in his resume, against BHop, but I guess he caught BHop at the tail end of his career.

Ohh that is great, your friend and Baofeng have the same thought on this one. Vlasov @3.55 is attractive enough so i think i might go for this one and might put a little on knockout or unanimous win for him defending on what is attractive to bet. Yeah, that's the retirement fight of Hopkins if i remember it right. That fight got no bearing for me as Smith is young and BHop is 40+ when they met. |

Never heard much of both fighters. Only heard of Joe Smith Jr. since he was the one who retired the old and arrogant Bernard Hopkins. Other than that, nothing else. Maxim Vlasov is also pretty much unheard of. But as the odds of Vlasov is very high compared to his opponent who is not really a class higher than him, I am also tempted to bet on him a little.

Ok, at 3.xx odd for Maxim Vlasov, I think this is already attractive for us. Just even .1-.5 mbtc will be good enough to put a bet on him.
So this is still a 50/50 fight, yes both of them are unheard of, but sure this should be one exciting fight. And both of the fighters are at least 6'0 feet, could be a battle of jabs. But I doubt any of them can beat Canelo Alvarez if Canelo decided to move up in light heavyweight.

@bisdak40 - yes, I would say go for Maxim, I would consider him a live underdog here. ML is good already. If everything goes his way, it won't go on judges scorecard, round 10 could be a good pick by KO/TKO.
@DoublerHunter - at least me and your sports analyst friend as jive in terms of Maxim being the underdog here, again, it just really surprises me to see him a very far underdog in this fight. But I don't know if the odds are going to be fixed. Maybe we can see some swing as the fight gets closer.

Finally Joe Smith gets his chance to fight for this title. He was supposed to fight in an eliminator tournament but then the pandemic happened. There's been a few postponements along the way due to fighters testing positive for covid. I wonder if this will affect Vlasov like it affected other fighters who got the virus.
Smith is known as a big puncher so I am hoping he will win and fight Beterbiev who is also a knockout artist.

  Here's some short information about the professional records of these two fighters. Bouts and wins of Maxim Vlasov are almost doubled by Joe Smith Jr., which clearly shows the advantage experience of Maxim Vlasov. I'm curious why the odds are extremely far and it favored Joe Smith, even Vlasov got the experience advantage and height. The last professional match of Vlasov happened last 2019 which is kinda already aged, why Joe Smith got 2 fights last 2020, and all win fights. |

As I have said, not familiar with any of them, so the only choice for me is to go for the underdog because of the attractive odds. Smith was bothered by that cut in the left eye, that must be the reason why he fought awkwardly. I would give it a draw if i'm one of the judges but it happened already and the best that Vlasov can do is ask for a rematch. Smith vs Beterbiev is also an exciting one and i think Smith could give a very tough test on Beterbiev's career and that could end via KO as both are heavy punchers. |

Let's see and witness their moves on this fight, and based on the presented odds, I've seen that they're just close and for me it's difficult to choose whom will be the best.
For now, the fight isn't yet happening and maybe it takes more to time to analyze and do certain reviews on their previous fights. Hopefully, I would pick a good choice as soon as possible.

I have watched Joe's previous fights and I must say that he has fast hands but I guess it would really be a tough fight for him since Maxim has prepared a lot for this. It will be another milestone for him but I don't think it will be a draw match. I'm rooting for Smith and I'm sure that it will be a great match.
