You can be an investor and a trader while you're sleeping well at night.

As an investor, you just let your investments sleep as if you're not going to touch them soon. And while waiting for them to become big, you can have a sideline of trading.

In trading, you're not really that putting much pressure and you can still trade calmly if you can control your mood.

I agree that I can be a profitable investor even while I will be sleeping but how's that possible with trading as well? I am sorry I could not get your point.

Only investor may stay calm in my experience because traders need to solve lots of hassles so that they could predict the exact movements of markets. So, not taking pressure will not be possible if you are trading but staying calm without any tension will be possible if you remain as a "bitcoin" investor (I mean no other asset may not guarantee you like bitcoin do for its investors).

In trading while you're sleeping, it's like setting your buying and selling orders.

It's an automated feature that you can use with those exchanges for you to have a peace of mind while you're at sleep. You can hit those orders and even stop your loss while you're away.

You can remain calm as you trade, you don't have to trade and be like the others that you're going to monitor it every single minute.

Both investment and trading can be profitable depending on the individual handling it because it still relies on how the person chooses the cryptocurrency he will entrust his money with whether his aim is to trade or invest with it.

If what you're investing in is Bitcoin I think if you keep it for years it won't be a problem. Because if the price of Bitcoin goes down, it can recover quickly and every year the price will definitely increase. But if we invest in other coins, especially coins that have just been listed on the exchange, there needs to be considerations that can convince the project of that coin to run well. Because, not all new coins will have their price going up, even though they usually just come out in a few days the price has started to fall. So you have to make sure the projects run by the company from the coin have a good reputation and interest from customers. However, this is not the only thing that is of concern. There is still a lot that you have to consider when you are going to invest in a new coin, to trade I think it doesn't matter when the price is still normal.

Instead, you invest in coins that are convincing and listed on the top exchanges, it will benefit you more and make it easier for you to make a profit. Because the possibility that the new coin will be hype will still be a question mark, when the coin has not been listed on any exchange. So make sure there is convincing evidence first, before you start investing your money.

I would make the same comparison between trading and investing. But sometimes it is hard to distinguish these two words. For example, you can be an active trader for weeks but when the prices drop you be uncomfortable to trade at the lower prices. So and trader could become and investor overnight. I think that a trader is someone who checks the prices multiple times each day, even if he is not trading his coins.

A similar situation happened to me in 2017, when I went from a trader to an investor who did not have time to sell bitcoin in time. The best solution is a conscious decision to become an investor, which can bring a big profit in the long term.

That has been proven by many veteran people across this community and Mr. Satoshi's stash is another living proof.

Unfortunately most new people are not preferring to be an investors as they love taking risks and hence they directly get into trading and most of them are burning their figures and very few may find good profits still in long run an investor might make more than that for zero efforts.

We can easily make good profits in cryptocurrencies just by investing and trading some altcoins may help still not necessary when considering the ROI of bitcoin investments.

Yeah, both trading and investing will reward similar if we approach them effectively. But, the efforts required in trading is definitely more compared to investing whereas rewards may remain same and in most occasions investing is leading in terms of higher rewards. Yes, lesser efforts still higher rewards is possible with investments given that you are good at choosing your asset like bitcoins.

I believe bitcoin investing will suit anyone as we may start at any time with as low as $100 an initial capital. Instead of choosing based on what suits us, I guess we may choose based on our patience level. Because, people who invest and wait for years gains a lot in general.

Trading is a continuous job, you trade in order to get money or even to lose. While investment, we are certainly expecting that we can survive even without working hard. That’s a really good advice, I see investment and trading differently from the way that lots of people sees it. There are people who see it as a means of income that they can fully rely on, but I don’t see it that way, rather I see it something that can be a side income; I can have office job and invest in bond or any asset at all that yields annually and at the end of the year I am still getting the same level of profit with someone that leaves their job to invest or trade.

It is usually best to have something that you are sure will be generating steady income, and then these trading and investment can be for side income, even if they are paying more than your regular job, you shouldn’t quit when you have not made enough to sustain you for life.

Trading and Investing are similar. The only difference is the length of days it will stay in the market. Trading is for a short-term stay in the market, will take only for a day some takes days. For investing, it's like staying for months to years.

This is a view that seems to be too superficial for my tastes, it may seem that is the case as the goal of both investors and traders is to earn money and the only difference seems to be the means at which they want to do it, but this is not really accurate.

Investing is based on fundamental analysis, you select a coin not based on how is it doing at the time but based on the solid foundation in which it was created, this is why bitcoin is so popular among those that want to be in the market for the long term, traders om the other hand do not care about that at all and only look at the short term performance of a coin, with many of them deciding to trade coins they know are scams as long as they think they can obtain profits out of them.

I disagree with you bout investing.
Investing is not about you put money in there after doing some research about those asset that you have been decide to invest and forget/wait few more years.

Just like trading. Everyone need to learn how to do TA, risk management including stop loss and take profit with perfect timing in order to decide when you need to enter your trade&exit strategy.

Investing need more knowledge about fundamental reason behind it and follow up about the project daily/weekly/monthly as you fit.
In order you can get updated information that you think the project will be fail in the end or still have big chance to be succesful
After that you will have to decide when you sell based on your information about that asset to reduce the risk of losing your investment and maximize your profit

Your investment can be your side income but trading cannot be like that; because you need to spend time for your trading which requires lots of hours for preparing accurate signals for buying and selling. So, trading cannot be a side income for sure. At the same time with investments you cannot expect any immediate returns so that also cannot be side income but it can be a resource in long-term to support you when you need any emergency funds.

Still I agree with you that you must have a regular job for supporting you; only after that you can think about investing and trading. Both might be sounding easier but both are having some level of risks associated. You can go for bitcoin for investment which will be having comparatively lesser risk when you are planning for long-term.

Big profits but in short time will always have huge risks. People who are able to wait and look for consistent profits are going for investments rather than struggling with any kind of trading. From all these, we can easily conclude that both trading and investing are same in some sense but how you want profits and how you approach your risks to split it out or how to eliminate it are the few things which differentiate one from another. Day trading is something I completely hate; I prefer only investments which can be both short term and long term.
