Well, I'm sorry to ask, but what is the purpose of this data collection?

My answer is, it depends, in some countries the dominance is soccer, in the United States bets on NBA and NFL prevail there.

But generally speaking, soccer betting has enormous dominance in the world.

Generally speaking, other interesting things to bet on are Sports betting, Slots, Lottery

Sports betting is definitely taking the first place in my opinion. There are a lot of sports out there, and almost any of them have some sort of underground betting playground where viewers earn a quick buck by placing bets on which team will win and which will not. This is followed by Casino games. Slots, Pokers, dice, these games are the literal cover page of every gambling site I have been in ever since I tried gambling, I only place sports bet above it because sports betting has a much more bigger following than Casino. You can literally fill a stadium with bettors, something that I doubt is somethign that can be done for casinos.

There are some possible reasons for data collection but mostly this will be pertaining on getting the common interest of the community and he might be creating some gambling site
where the majority is preferring into or basically he do just want to know the interest of the public personally but without having any plans on building one.

So sharing up something wont really cost you because surveys like these are just common into this field.So better to answer it out without hesitance.

Sports betting is the most commong, then there is dice, slots and other games like crash, card games and many more. There are a lot of sports enthusiasts and sports betting is the most commong form of gambling. Most people prefer it since it doesn't depend solely in luck since you can use your knowledge and experience on the sport of your choice. I like card games, poker in particular. But judging from the average number of players on a website, who engage in poker - it's not very popular. Usually, I know almost everyone by their usernames because it's almost always the same people.  
Usually, there's a large number of slots on gambling websites, so they must be pretty popular. There wouldn't be such a variety of slots there wasn't demand for it. Also, I often see people placing bets on dice and other games alike.
So not counting sports betting, I think slots and dice games are the most popular.

Lots of very interesting gambling games, it is quite difficult for me to determine which gambling game I really like. Because every gambling game

However, I personally think that maybe sports betting and slot games are popular enough. We can see many platforms offer these two betting or gambling. My guess would be poker maybe slots or sports based gambling including esports .   The other aspect people wont consider is in game gambling, micro transaction or item type gambling has also become a big industry and its not classified as gambling always but basically it is and part of the reason its so big is that its unrestricted, similar to apps on a phone can be quite profitable and unrestricted.    People talk about crypto as some negative threat possibly in allowing gambling but a simple phone or computer already contains that idea quite alot; I have the same views on premium phone lines enabling a form of gamble allowing multiple entries that will hook some.   Include all those possibilities not just the traditional and its not clear which is the largest game globally.

When basing up on how many sites exist then dice and casinos are bit more rampant or do exist in bigger numbers which means there is much demand with that.
For personal preference or choice then dice game, slots and a plinko is the best  and sports betting would be the last in line.For some this might be the first because
each person does have their own interest.The conclusion here is that gambling industry wont really becoming this big if there isnt a demand.
The more games offered the more options we can choose on which is good.

The most popular in the gambling field in fiat currencies is probably Sports betting, Slots and then Poker but in the Bitcoin space is differs slightly. I would say Sports betting is probably still the most popular while slots has been replaced with poker and another thing which I am seeing more and more of is prediction betting where you predict a certain thing will happen and if it does by the time specified you win.

Slots do not exist in Bitcoin well I guess if you count virtual ones they do but that defeats the point of playing slots as there is some tactics that you can use in person on slots. Poker will always be popular because of its competitive edge that it brings and it can be played online with cameras set up. For sports betting, basketball is the most popular for me especially if the NBA season is ongoing.  Many people around the world are looking forward to when this event is ongoing and each of them has a favorite team that they want to become the champion.

For online gambling (if this is also considered), I would choose dice games to be popular. Every gambling platform has that game, the mechanics of it is really simple and if lucky can give you some big amount of profit.

Sports betting really gain popularity and become the gambler's favorite nowadays.

Many sports tournaments (football specifically) around the world are there that can give us entertainment and of course a chance to win money.

But in my personal preference, dice would be my top choice. Since this is the first game I played online and one of the classic game existing up to now, still one of the favorite when it comes to online casino.

This is a question for the casino owners! Only they would be able to present you with a proper statistics on the popular games. Gamblers can post only their own view but can't provide you with a statistical information. We have quite a few casino owners available in this forum. Just go to the ANN threads and find them. Shoot your question through a PM.

Personally for me, I prefer crash games like bustabit. Nowadays it has a lot of clones in the market. But I like playing the crash games because that's what makes me relax. I am also eagerly waiting for some skill based gambling coming to the crypto gambling world.

Sports betting(football/basketball), slots and lottery are the most popular ones imo, I think the reason why sports betting is so popular because there's so many prestigous events to bet on every year and you can slightly control your bets in a way where you can use certain information between the teams and opt to take, skip or look for better games if it doesn't translate to your preferred odds.

Slots is comes in next because there's so many different types of slot you can find between different game providers.

Lastly is the lotteries, a lot of countries have their own lotteries and the high prize pool is what makes it very popular.
