I'm selling a four months old rx580 8gb memory for 400$, is this a reasonable price to sell this gpu ? I'm selling because of personal reason, though I bought at 350$ and I've use for mining since I bought it

look at ebay as a guideline

lower buy it now run around

500 this one is 469 + 30 + tax if you are in a tax state

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PowerColor-Red-Devil-AXRX-Radeon-RX-580-OC-Dual-Fan-8GB-GDDR5-PCIe-Graphics-Card/224419351353?

so if I buy from the ebay seller my tax is 28 so that card is 528

the ebay seller clears about 400-420  as the ebay fee is 47 the shipping is 20 and the paypal fee is 10

soo 499 - 77 = 422 or less for the seller.

as a buyer do I want to buy the ebay card and lay out 528 to him with more protection
or buy from you for 400 pay an escrow 20 so 420

so yeah 400 on sale in market -place and offer escrow. (hint I do escrow )

350$ for that gpu is good mate, I don't what you want to sell but never mind since that's your privacy, also it's win win situation because you've mined with the card for four months already, that's some extra dollars so if you sell at 400$ you are already in profit mate

$400 is a great price considering these were $250 brand new back in 2016. About a year ago they went for maybe $140 or so. However due to the covid19 chip shortage and the ETH mining profits they went up in price like crazy.

If you want to get out of mining then sell for $400. I highly doubt you will get any more for it. I don't think these will ever go for close to $1000 such as some other GPUs. Right now is a great time to sell. If the chip shortage is behind us and ETH is no longer profitable these will be worth around ~$150 or so. Gamers would much rather go for Nvidia than AMD gpus.

Why do you say that gamers would leave AMD gpu for Nvidia? There are gamers who prefers AMD gpu for gaming for unknown reasons, everyone have different tastes when it comes to gaming and also PC components too, for example game pads, some refer xbox joystick over other pc gamepad and also vice versa

This is just what I experienced. Selling an Nvidia GPU is just much much easier than and AMD GPU, at least the low end models. Of the few Nvidia GPUs that I’ve owned in the past I remember selling them was a breeze even during a bear market where the classifieds were overflowing with GPUs.

Nvidia usually also historically seems to hold their value better. Think of Nvidia like a Honda or Toyota, they hold their value well. AMD on the other hand are like luxury cars like BMW or Mercedes value quickly drops dramatically when a new model comes out.

Like I said before. It might be different in your area but this is just something that I’ve experience first hand.

I agree gtx 1050TI/1060 3g/6g sold very fast but 1070 was bit hard to sell. even harder was selling rx470 4g.

You are right, I love gaming on PC and I started that journey with a AMD hd6970 years ago, after the gpu starts showing artifact on screen I went ahead to buy a new gpu, this time a nvidia card and I instantly noticed the difference in gaming, not performance though, it's the look for me, and also more cooler and quiet

400$ per rx580 8GB is a giveaway price, I'm sure you must have gotten some PM to sell the card for them? Because a RX580 is more than 400$ even if it's fairly used, I can only sell around 450$ used and 570$ new right now, it's only a matter of time though, once bullrun is over those cards will be worthless again

If your price is reasonable, your graphics card will be bought within 1 hour. If you have purchase documents and a guarantee, then this will greatly help you in the sale.
I would even start selling this video card for a higher price, but first look at the prices for similar video cards on websites that sell used goods.
Not everyone could buy goods from large marketplaces such as ebay.
