Let's do a honest opinion poll about the potential of NFT.

Question - what the future holds for NFT?

In my personal experience, I have received mixed reactions from different type of people on this same question. So I want to know the view of this community.

I was never into NFT till some time before but from friends and doing some research this seems to be the current hot thing happening around and would like to be part of it. Though will it be long lasting like bitcoin which during initial days were hardly known and now NFT is at a stage where it could actually be a good opportunity to be part of it. I am skeptical though for the long term but atleast short term do your best to work on it and if it becomes a longer stay then its the best thing to happen.

Yeah the hype about NFT is really high, people spending ridiculous amount to purchase some unique NFT, does it really worth it? It depends on individual preferences, but I am not sure if am willing to part with a reasonable sum for some NFT,
That been said, the trend is really high and crypto is all about what is trending, for now it is a good enough opportunity for investors and dev to make money,  but just like the rest of the hype, this too will die down and in the end only a handful of the many NFT projects will survive. It is a vicious circle.

Was uncertain between moderate view and I don't know to be honest : given that I think at the moment it is a bit too pumped up , the concept of proving digital ownership and originality does solve some problems but it opens up others that should be addressed ( or at least I ignore they have been already).

What am referring to is  often by purchasing an NFT you are purchasing an intangible asset, which - if it is an image - you can at least print, but that print is no more a digital asset  but a copy that anyone else could print or copy theirselves.
Another issue could be the same image/file/song could be torned into a NFT on different blockchains and therefore the buyer of an NFT should check everyone of them to be sure he is buying the first NFT version of that work.

I think NFT will be more valuable if they remain digital assets and not to be printed out for any reason because doing so will most definitely reduce whatever value they have as a digital assets,

The reason why I don't have such interest to invest on NFT is that anything can be converted as NFT, just like CZ converted one or two of his tweets to NFT, even though this NFT are unique to a particular contract address is not enough to make them valuable, or just because they are very limited I'm supply, to me I think it is a hype that won't last, defi makes much sense.

Recent NFT craze is just temporary which is still going on and it might slow down soon. Though it's rulling ATM for shorter timeframe, but it'll continue to exist for the long run. BTW, recently New York Stock Exchange launching  First Trade NFTs which is already on Crypto(Dot)com.

I believe NFT has come to stay but the ridiculous valuations is going to crash the space, Some people are going to becoming ridiculously rich base on the recent hype but those that bought the hype are going to lose their money, there is no other way around it, all these JPegs are going to become valueless but a new stronger industry is likely going to emerge from the crash

I think about it too, my question is whether the NFT is able to hold out for long periods of time in this hype. It seems that this coin with traits like the NFT hype is just a temporary euphoria to lure investors. but we can prove it in the future to see how potential NFT are in the future

I think in the future gaming industry is going to be the real igniter of nfts.

Imagine being able to take items,nfts from a game to another, this itself could unlock so many things and content inside games its crazy to think about it.

NFT at the moment is enjoying a bubble but after it settles the real NFT project will stand out to survive through the bear. The use cases are strong ones especially for online purchase of Arts and Gaming, If the project is built around it, not like some that readjust the coin used case to exploit the hype, they could likely thrive. Cryptocurrency space do not need as many NFT coins or projects as we already have

Chose up Moderate view - NFT will continue to exist. This might be the new trend now but doesnt mean that it will rule out.Its just bit common on how
things do go into this market where something could really become a hype but once its over then it would just remain flat but for sure NFT would stay.
When it comes to potential then there might be some but it wont really be that too high when it comes to some speculation.
So dealing with NFT's isnt really that harmful at all but always remember that always set up risk management.

As much as I want to think that it will die soon, I'm thinking that there are still projects that do ICO, and IEO and Defi's are still coming into the market.
So NFT will also be the same as those. They will continue to exist in the market but with no longer the same hype that they are taking right now. Do you plan to invest in any NFT?

My honest take here is that,
NFT  will continue to exist, it will rule, and later it dies just like how Defi shows to us. And for sure, after this, there is another set of crypto projects that will come and probably the same cycle that we might experience.
If I'm going to invest it, that will be a short-term goal, it hypes and dies pretty quick. I hope I'm wrong.

There are a lot of real world use cases for NFT's, I'm not talking about some dumb tweet NFT's or cyberpunks etc. They are all part of advertisement, they don't show NFT's real potential and use case. I think some games, especially trading card games, fantasy sports leagues etc. have very big part of real NFT usage in the future. That way we can talk about collection that have value, not some pixel art where you can generate infinite copies. It can be used as proof of ownership in various things as well.

I have the same view here as well. Aside from the gaming industry, I believe, this will be a hit soon to known personalities, celebrities and athletes. Remember, a lot of them have large following and those fans are already collecting their memorabilia even before. Now, as these celebrities are finding about NFTs, like for example Paris Hilton - https://parishilton.com/why-im-excited-about-nfts/, a lot of them will follow. Now, these die-hard fans can now collect their memorabilias digitally. So I believe, it will be a hit in the future.

NFT trend and parasites on NFT won't last forever. I have no belief that those tokens that are using NFT trend to steal money from crypto communities will have good price in few months ahead.

When people realize that NFT won't change their lives, won't change the crypto industry, won't change the blockchain technology, price on the market will plummet. I hope people who have love with NFT won't make their hard decisions too late.

I have moderate view regarding NFT. Many people consider it as overrated and somewhat just a waste of money but honestly NFT could be used for various things and that doesn't make it as useless as most of people imagined it to be.
Like I know the controversy about people that spending million of dollars just for an NFT that represents a tweet but people should really take a look deeper that there are hidden motives and those people who buy these kind of NFT are most likely trying to get exposure and not really trying to collect those tweets' NFT. Moreover NFT could create like a platform for people who want to sell their digital arts or something like that without the need of centralized company. it's not like with existence of NFT its gonna bring catastrophe to the market anyway.

Moderate view. I think some industries are abusing the NFT hype but there are some niche like the gaming industry where I believe NFT will flourish. The Digital arts might take some time to be widely accepted because it is currently dominated by famous/influential people who are not really that good in my opinion.

This is a very specific token and I think that not everyone needs it. I still don't understand its purpose well. Perhaps it would be better to create a stablecoin for this purpose, which will serve a virtual auction of art and antiques. There is very little information about NFT tokens, so it is not surprising that people are now very interested in them, as a result of which this hype arose. After a certain time, all this will settle down, then we'll see how useful this token will be.

Like the other people, I said moderate view because it is not really something that will rule and be the best and be loved by everyone but I also do not think that it is something that would be gone and be totally forgotten in the future neither. I just think that, it will not be these huge prices, right now it is totally overvalued and that is why I think it is not going to be as hyped as it is right now, that is my consideration.

Of course I believe it will continue to be decent as well, it is actually a quite good "idea", definitely doesn't worth the money people spend right now, but it definitely worths "some" money and what people find valuable could always be argued so there is no point in talking about negotiating prices. This is why moderate view is perfect for me, it is a good idea that will continue to exist as long as crypto exists and that is why it is here to stay.
