Religion in our society

I don't know so much about other religions, but I believe all religions hate bad deeds and ask to do good deeds. In our religion bad deeds are hated and good deeds are said to be done. Now those who do not follow the rules of religion are mainly seen to engage in criminal activities in the society. Those who follow the rules of religion always try to do good deeds. So society does not commit crimes due to religion. We all have to follow the rules of our religion, we have to do good deeds, refrain from criminal acts.

I also learned about some religions such as Buddhism (Southern Buddhism, Northern Buddhism), Christianity, Islam...Most of their Bibles instruct people to do good, help others...it can be said that they educate people to become better, no religion advises people to do evil. But the truth is that not everyone who is religious will follow the teachings of the bible exactly. Many people just use religion to cover up their crimes and that is human behavior, religion cannot be blamed.

Religion is not bad, it all comes from human thoughts and behaviors because human nature is selfish, jealous, greedy...

@fugebtc, you just nailed it religion isn't bad is people in it that's bad, if we all follow religion teaching and practices the world would have been a better place. But nature is extremely wicked and bittered, to each other that's why we don't have peace and harmony in our society.  Some evil ones uses religion to steal from the people instead of helping the people, our society is full of fake pastors using charm to stealing from their members, religion is a mess in this generation.

In terms of religious matters, the most important thing is that we don't go off the path that has been determined, good or otherwise, there needs to be clear and educational guidance in the context of the religion we follow and that depends on each person who believes in it.

Some people can't do that because they don't act that way. But it would be nice if those who DO act that way would stop... essentially changing their religion.

Religion tells the way of life of people. Which path will be good and which path will be bad. But it is very difficult to change people in this way because it only controls people but not self control. But those who are self-disciplined can only do good. And the cultured people are in control. Before believing in God you have to believe that there is God in you only then can you remove sin from society, otherwise it is not possible.

Yeah, your statement are very clear because you defined it all, there are two way in this world is either you are with the devil or with God, the way of God is through religion, no any religion is specific but it should be any act of worship, because any religion we think of have their guidelines on how we are to live our lives with out making any sins and again a religious person been any kind lives comfortable than non religious person because a non religious person is been guided by the devil and that is why they are likely facing depression in the life non matter how rich or famous they are they will be filling depressed, and those people are the one that normally causing nuisance in the community.

why can't religion reduce the rate of crimes in our society?
Religion: I believe religion is a practice that teaches ways of good conducts and we all tend to found ourselves in a religion. I'm so sure all religion talks about good that leads man to the right track, correction from evil, love for one another, peace. But we still come across killings and all sort of different crimes in our society. If the society should practice our individual religion which they tend to belong, i feel the world would be a better place for mankind

I think religion is just a benchmark to ignite a sense of responsibility in society. Still, the ability to differentiate between right and wrong has to do with our self-decisions and choices in our day-to-day activities. Crimes are just a reflection of one's innermost thoughts and fantasies which can be seen or noticed from the way a person acts or talks around people. Religion can't reduce or stop crime!!! they are just mere words, I mean even police are finding it difficult to reduce crime not to talk more of words that many criminals will find worthless in their enslaved brains.

People use the name of religion to dump, rape, scam and later ask for forgiveness for the crime they committed. When being caught in the act, they begin to accuse everything on the devil when they did the sinful act with their right sense.

That is why I keep telling people that some government are not ready to fight corruption in some societies, because many people are using religion to commit all those crimes and they will go free from the crimes they committed in the societies because they know that they will get support from their religion members in the government position.  If government can remove religion from the society, it will go a long way to reduce corruption, killing, envy, rape, inflation and hatred in the society because it will make people to united to do the right thing that will bring progress and development to the society, but I know it will not be easy for government to adopt it to the society, but if truly government is ready to eliminate religion from the society, I don't think there is anything that will stop government not to achieve it.

And if government continues to allow religion in the society, it will make people to continue to commit crimes and go free in the society because religion has entered judiciary, which is the hope of every human beings in the society to get justice.

Every religion gives freedom to practice other religions and every religion aims to show light to mankind. But we humans do not follow any religion. Actually, following Jesus Christ is easy. Why? Because when Jesus died on the cross, he took the punishment for ALL (what does 'all' mean? All means ALL.) imperfection, thereby bringing back perfection to all things universally.

The imperfection of you and I not seeing perfection in all things is covered by the work that Jesus did on the cross.

This means that it is much easier to be saved than to not be saved. And being saved is following Jesus Christ. All one needs to know is that Jesus saves. All the following or not following religions has to do with the strength of faith rather than the existence of faith.
