Just watching those highlights of Dustin Poirier brings shivers to my spine. One hit of that could end the match. But let's face it, Islam Makhachev had also been upgrading his striking ability and he made that point against Volk so if he won't be taking this fight through the points system/takedowns, there's a chance we are going to see a brawl to happen.
Poirier on the other hand needs to be aggressive from the start of that bell. Don't let Islam get his rhythm and his reading of the fight just like what he did with Volk which was shown on that video analysis.

Too risky both both. Don't wanna see Dustin too aggressive in this fight by brawl else Islam is going to wrestle him. I watched that video as well. They are both well rounded but I don't think Dustin's defense on the ground is enough to stop Islam. It could happen quickly and before we knew it Dustin would be on the ground defending himself.

Dustin will likely win if they both stand so keeping the distance while keeping Islam guessing where his striking may come from will be his piece.

Looking ahead at some future UFC matchups that I'm excited to watch, I decided I might as well toss a few bucks in on a future bet.  This might serve as a decent gauge of how the odds on these fights changes over the next few weeks, but I'm already excited to see them.  The return of Conor McGregor and the next battle of Khamzat Chimaev, who I think is the scariest fighter in the UFC at the moment.  Might take a while before we find the results on this one, but I can't wait to see these guys all do what they train for.

I am saying this card is also a star-studded one. The main card list is full of good players too. I think I am going to bet on Kevin Holland against Oleksiejczuk. Both fighters came from a loss so I bet they will give their all in this fight especially Holland who lost in two consecutive fights. His length will be his weapon here. He can keep the fight at a distance and box his opponent which I think he is good at.

He went straight to trash talk immediately and that makes me think that he is a bit scared of this fight and that's why I also think this fight won't go more than 2 rounds. I don't think so. I think he's trying to scare Makhachev and get into his head before the fight. But I think it's very difficult for him to do that, but it's worth a try. But the first thing he said was that he was going to put him to sleep. Let's wait and see.

It was because of what Poirier said in the earlier face-offs yesterday in something Americans say to eachother all the time but to his region of the world it is a huge disrespect to one's own mother.
As he basically asked him "What did you say!?".

It only enraged Makhachev even further as he usually keeps his emotions in check and is a cool cucumber.

I think this will be in Dustin's favor come the fight night since he got him to drop his guard.

This is the latest embedded and the 5th episode released about 5 hours ago.
So what you are mentioning about is probably in there as the cameras are up and close to each fighter of the main event and can pickup what he said louder to him.

Almost on the money, he just did it in the 5th round.
Well, it's nice that Porier survived until the 5th round and I guess that tells that the champion is really hard to defeat even in a long fight. His stamina is strong and whoever the next opponent should not be thinking about using that kind of strategy because it won't work. Makhachev should be put to sleep if they want a win.
But damn, Poirier really tested the champion in that fight. He is damn hungry.
I heard Makhachev would try to climb the ladder and go up at the heavier weight. I don't know if that decision is wise or not after this close fight against Poirier.

Kevin Holland. I was right that dude is also hungry for a win. Ended the fight so quickly in the first round with an armbar.

I couldn't watch it all, but from Almeida onwards everything really got interesting. Regarding the predictions, I got one wrong and another right. Strickland winning and I got Poirier wrong. It happens, but they were great fights.
