Are we talking about upcoming main event Alex Perez vs Tatsuro Taira?
On paper this doesnt look like interesting fight but things change when you look at the stats and see how Taira has a perfect 15-0 MMA record!
Taita is one of the best ranked UFC fighters from Japan and if he beats Perez he needs to move up the rankings in flyweight category.
I am surprised he is now only ranked 13 in this division with such a perfect record and five wins in UFC.

lol Not really. I just took it from Twitter, the users there are just mocking Conor, he made lots of enemies so he gets a lot of mocking from fans. Seen his spare videos recently, Conor actually is getting fit seems very possible that he could make a breathtaking win.

We're still to find out if Tatsuro can make a 5 round fight especially if Perez performs the same way when he fought Matheus Nicolau. 5-0 in UFC but I can see Tatsuro can compete the experienced fighters like Pantoja. If Dana has to look for someone to eliminate the top guys in the division, Tatsuro is a perfect guy and Dana wouldn't even mind if Tatsuro has a zebra record as a result of this. He is young anyway but Mokaev seems to be his fave and will be the next champ.

As I mentioned in another thread on the same subject, Tatsuro is young and will give a lot of work. He will make the category move and will generate a lot of entertainment. The more of this we have, the better for everyone.

Funny how you mentioned about Japanese fighters and with this next event happening it all seemed to be a well thoughout and planned to fall into place by the UFC.

Then the UFC just a few days ago signs Kai Asakura a champion from Rizin to fight for them thus giving up his title and start from scratch with them instead:

A little late for this but India had its first fighter get a win at UFC past weekend as Puja Tomar won a split-decision bout against Brazil's Rayanne dos Santos in the straw-weight division at UFC Louisville.

They need to have more top fighters from this regions if they are going to be popular ion the whole world, not just in Japan.

I think cooperating with OneFC will be good for them, cross promotion after all fans still want to see DJ Mighty Mouse in the flyweight.

After the first announcement that Conor might not be able to fight, they still promoted Conor for ticket sales. I think people expect the come back especially the Irishmen. Complaining can do nothing though it's as if the UFC will refund.

Jamahal from the start doesn't want this fight, I guess the injury is giving him a favor. He has been talking shit to Pereira the entire time on Twitter and expects a rematch as well.

Poatan is very brave to put everything on the line again. Even though he recently admitted that he is recovering from some fractures in his fingers and legs, if I am not mistaken, he is fighting again. It will be a great fight and I hope he wins again!

I missed the fights. Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to all.

Anyway, I was right. The Japanese star is still spotless. It ended with a KO/TKO, making me curious about what happened in the game. I will definitely watch the replay later.

But then you notice it happened a few times so it was actually Tatsuro forcing more pressure on that one leg of Alex.
Causing it to fracture somewhere to the point of him not being able to support his own weight let alone his opponents.
It was a designed takedown attempt by Taira from what the article states.

Was a great fight in showcasing what Tatsuro Taira can do and what we can expect from him and Japanese fighters can bring to the UFC with new and innovative moves just as this one.

Something new. Seeing that he isn't successful in the rare-naked choke, he bends back with more leverage to lift Perez very damaging since the body triangle made Perez ineffective.

I'm not sure if he could actually beat Pantoja but Taira is one fighter to watch out. Maybe one more fight before the title shot. Taira vs Moreno, even if he loses, Taira is still young and could try again with Royval.

Oh yeah, he definitely has a lot of future after watching that fight. Taira is something rare. What he did made me curious about what else he can do next time he fights again.
Perfect record. I think Dana White should think about rushing this young dude for the championship belt. Dana wants more viewers, here comes one that is definitely entertaining.

I think Robert Whittaker will win this fight.

I will be a contrarian on this and I will be on team Izzy. He might have learned a new tactic in his homeland on the mountain ranges of China hehehehe. There might be a kungfu master there who will teach him new types of kicks and I predict that this will knockout this African Dricus. These fighters from China similar to Izzy do not surrender to a challenge hehehe.

In any case, if Izzy is the winner, does this imply that the king of Africa is a Chinese?

Hehe if am being serious, I speculate Izzy will win against Dricus.

I don't know if they mentioned it here, because I didn't see it. But Dana White said the following about Chimaev:

The problem is we don't really know. I saw a video of him on the ground, extremely sick. He's not doing well at all. He's been hospitalized again. Every time he's close to fighting, he gets really sick. I don't know, I don't know what to say. It's not like he's here in this country and we have doctors here to check on him or anything. He's kind of out of touch, so it's hard to deal with that.

So apparently he got sick over there, wherever he is, but he didn't want to be around the UFC doctors. I never understand why these fighters don't want to be around the UFC itself.
