It has been a crazy week for all UFC fans and that wasn't because of the Apex card.
Dana White did make a great speech at the MAGA convention on the very last day.

Odds must be right since Curtis doesn't sound convincing, he seems very slow in this video.

Did you guys read the new rules approved recently where fighters can now throw an elbow 12-6 or 6-12?
Before this, the elbow should have an angle but now, even the 90 degrees is okay. And also they can now kick an opponent despite their hands both touching the ground.

This is effective on Oct 1st however but they can not use the cheat sheet to have the advantage while on the ground.

The media day interviews between Green and Pimblett made the two seem like they are trying hard to bring up things from what happened in the past with Paddy's Tony Ferguson late last year.
Bobby was poking at him telling him he looking as if he was having trouble with a washed up fighter like Tony yet he subbed him easily prior to him in July.

About the new rules set for October @cabron , they mentioned this during the last UFC card during one of the fights.
Imagine if this was put in place, then Petr Yan would of never lost his championship to Aljamain Sterling.

How worse they beat Tony is how they measure their greatness. Poor Tony. He is not even retired yet.
The new rules should have been approved long ago so it's kind of interesting that they make it legal this time to ignore the grounded opponent rules. It feels like they are going to make big fights happen already like Jones-Aspinall.

Since they have a commission that makes rules for them, I think in our lifetime we will be seeing PFFL vs UFC fighters in one event. Hopefully.

Leon Edwards tried to upset Belal Muhammad during face off but this didnt work for him.
I think this two guys dont like each other and I am expecting to see interesting match, one who is mentally stronger will win.
Maybe performing in front of home fans can be double edged sword for Edwards so he needs to be concentrated.

The thing with Belal is he is trying really hard to make himself look more interesting since he should already know the UFC doesn't really like fighters who don't have that attraction for their brand.
And unfortunately for him, he just doesn't have that fan attraction factor.
To be fair, Leon didn't have it either but after that Usman headkick that all changed for him.

Anyone else notice that Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev's fight isn't even on the main card?
You would think they would have had them at the press conference because their fight has some implications in the balance for Mokaev. He can be up as a contender for a title bout with this win.
There was something going on where he asked Kape for a photo-op but then Mokaev sucker punched him.
Don't have any evidence that this actually happened but if it did, then you would think Dana would disciple him for doing this sort of thing right before the fight.
He would say, save it for the octagon Muhammad Mokaev!

I am not getting that impression from Bela and I think he earned his place in rankings in fair way.
It is more important how you perform in octagon than number of supporters you have.
I remember everyone hated Khabib first but things changes later.

It should be very interesting fight to watch, and I cant believe UFC put this fight in prelims instead of main card.

Meaning it might not be Jones who will fight the winner between Tom and Blaydes but it could be Moicic. Interim lost its meaning.

If Belal couldn't beat Leon in a convincing KO, it wouldn't make any difference. Belal will still not be the kind of Champ that will be liked by the fans, either Leon's 3rd title defense fight though and I never thought he could even defend multiple times, if he still wins it's Shavks turn who is more challenging.

Paddy the Baddy with the round one submission on King Green… He looked great. That submission was crazy as well. Green appeared to be completely unconscious on the mat after the submission that Paddy locked in on him. I guess the train continues rolling. Paddy and Suga Sean maintaining their reigns longer than I expected.

Everybody talking the Baddy win but what about the main event of Belal taking the championship away from Edwards?
So I guess being boring can also bring you the belt.
Might of been all the doubters that elevated his confidence level to out perform Leon at his home arena.

Also another thing to note is Muhammad Mokaev beat Manel Kape in their fight.
But the decided to not renew Mokaev's contract so he is out of the UFC and this was confirmed by Dana White in the post fight press conference.

After Belal drove the top of his head into the mat I think Edwards knew he was in trouble and underestimated his wrestling skill.
Now he will have a platform to talk about the injustices done towards Palestine so yeah, Dana won't want his UFC shows to become involved of an ongoing war. Especially with a nation who has been backed by the US where his shows are taking place. There are behind the scene backers towards the UFC just like any other organization/corporation.

Aspinall was of course dominate against Blaydes so it will be interesting what Jones has to say about the call out after the match.

Didn't know he was of Palestinian descent. He grew up in the US, so I don't know if he will use UFC to shout in support of the country like Chimaev. Dana has been supportive of anyone who voiced their concerns, but recently there were political issues already affecting Dana. People started noticing those fighters weren't in events anymore like Sean Strickland and Chimaev himself.

I don't mind Belal being a champ but let's see how he'd defend the first time.

But he has been very vocal about being pro-palestine. Since his organization has been raising money for those who had been suffering since the recent war started there. Think he mentioned he is doing it for the children there.

As for Mokaev, I believe White decided not to resign him because of such problems he has had with Chimaev and sees him being just as much trouble so told him good luck in the PFL on his way out of his organization.
It was funny listening to Ariel Helwani yesterday during the MMAFightingonSBN show where Mokaev said he would never go on his show ever. For something that had happened in the past amongst them. He did mention the PFL doesn't even have a flyweight division for him.
They also mentioned they wouldn't be surprised if Dana cut Kape aswell. Because the UFC doesn't need such childish behavior going on while being a distraction through out camps right before a fight.

Congratulations to our new champion. Well, that makes the Welterweight more lively again, we need more fighters to boost that weight class and I think Belal is the one.

How about Paddy Pimblett? I told you guys this dude is something else. It was a bad decision by King Green to try to take down one of the best submission fighters that I have seen. Paddy directly went for a guillotine and then switched to a tight triangle so fast, that was superb. Now that's 8th consecutive win for Paddy. I swear I am going to follow this guy.

Belal can support Palestine, it's just not good to use the platform to do it while the issue is pretty much hot. We all recognize the country, Palentine been around even before time. The country is even mentioned in the Bible. But it's going to be tough for Dana if he gets caught in major sports channels. It's an invisible war.

Mokaev tricking Kape is not acceptable behavior. But Dana saying it's the matchmaker's decision?

I think it is valid for everyone to give their views and opinions when they are champions of the event. However, these same champions must bear all the consequences that their speeches will generate.
