I totally believe that taking big Betting risk  or Gambling in Bets can be curtailed or minimized if we keep teaching people how to be responsible Bettors.  
It's actually heart breaking to see people complain about the problems they face due to gambling whereas there are numerous ways they can avoid the problems.

Hope this thread helps people who gamble in bets to learn how to be responsible and successful bettor without gambling or without taking big risk.

1. Someone  posted: "Have you guys thought of ending the life after big losses. Right now my mind is thinking of ending the life. It all started with just $700. I lost it, and in the event of recovering those fund I went for a loan and deposited around $2500. Here my fate, I lost everything once again. Then the recovery value increased from $700 to $3200. Here once again I deposited $9000 borrowing. Now that too is lost. My mind keeps saying end the life, with your earning you can't repay the amount lost.

- My reply: Seems you are betting with what you can't afford to risk/lose. This is typically what gamblers do. ..They bet with what they can't afford to lose,then get sad when they lose it or start contemplating suicide.
 I would advise that you learn to become skilled bettor or stick to betting occasionally with little amount until you  become consistently profitable.  

Bet, but don't Gamble.

  What actually makes people addicted to things like games, sugar, drugs, etc is the fun/happiness they derive from them especially when they are sad. So, you need to make sure customers don't get addicted to your products/services by making them less flashy, less sweet, lessen the prize money (so they don't get attached to it) etc. The world is full of addicts who are addicted to movies, foods, games, money, flashy things, etc.
Important Tips for Betting Sites and other Businesses on the addiction issues:
Make your products/services safe and beneficial to customers. Better to have people addicted to very beneficial games,, foods, movies than have them addicted to dangerous ones. Make them good/safe and beneficial just incase your customers get addicted, the products and services will help them to be useful to their societies and themselves.
Also remember to promote Safe Bet

Kids needs to be guided always, unfortunately they are free thesedays instead of being under constant guidance. They get exposed to all manner of things which they would end up abusing or misusing. The bad ones shouldn't be shown to them at all. But they are bombard with them including, porn, gambling, bad foods, bad songs, bad games, etc
I don't support kids (or even adults) to gamble atall. No porn at all, even for adults

Betting sites should make sure that customers practice safe bet.
Kids should only access good betting sites through parental guidance.

Bet but don't gamble.

In regards to the above reply, it is actually not posted on the poster's thread. I noticed the thread was locked after compiling the post on my notepad and I decided to post here it here due to the importance of the issue.

So, I will keep updating this thread with others important  advise, ideas and suggestions.

I also saw that thread and couldn't reply but since you open up a thread to reply to that question so here is what I was about to say to the creator.
No matter how hard your problem is how big your debt is you should keep on fighting.
It is just money you could earn it again but you should be responsible next time take it as an experience and learn from your mistakes.

I just want to add that if you are dealing with addiction, depression, anxiety, or other issues, you should seek support from friends and family as well as professional help. I know it can be hard to reach out, but that is one thing that a lot of us struggle with. It is very hard to reach out for help when you feel like you're alone. But if you don't reach out, you are just going to continue to hurt yourself and think that no one cares. Suicide is not a choice.

Gambling is for everyone but it is doing harm to them or not depends on how they treat it, certain gambling addiction is one of the deadliest addiction because it involves money and life of your family members.

I often wonder how many of the members in gambling signature campaigns are problem gamblers. I have seen several posts of the style you quote. I remember replying to one that disappeared and I understand it was deleted by the same person who opened it. Then there was another one lately that he himself said he was going to lock or delete the thread. Surely they feel great shame after realizing the loss, open the thread, and then for some reason regret it and delete it, or lock it.

But I think the key to what is happening is given by the last comment:

Those who develop a serious problem of self-control with gambling have a difficult solution, and I believe that it happens by

1) Seek help.
2) Quitting gambling for good. It happens like with alcoholics, even if they go years without drinking, a single drink triggers them to return to the destructive pattern of alcoholism.

Gambling should be treated the same as alcohol in my opinion. It should be done in moderation as it can take over people's life and cause them to sin with, that being said their is nothing inherently sinful about it.

A gambling addict is ultimately someone who loses the perspective to do the math on their losses, and dreams constantly of the big reward that might be.

Not to compare in alcohol but iN Drugs because the gambling addiction can make people do unnecessary things that he cannot do when he is drunk.

It's actually interesting that the commenter you quoted included addiction in his post. Didn't actually pay attention to his/her post yesterday because I thought it was trolling judging by the name. Interestingly I was moved to post about addiction when I saw the poster's name while going through topics on  "off topic" section.


You can see couple of faults in his/her comment if you pay close attention.
Gambling is taking big risk. It doesn't make sense to ask people to Gamble in Moderation... makes no sense at all. Sounds contradictory.
The proper words should be Bet in Moderation
