Bitcoin has no replacement, because no coin is decentralized as bitcoin, all of them are a bit not decentralized, but bitcoin is totally decentralized.

I will like to comment more about bitcoin and gridcoin. Bitcoin with a marketcap of over $1 trillion and also the first ever cryptocurrency in the first position ever since can not be compared with gridcoin that is not yet found in the first 1000 (currently at 1004) on Coinmarketcap, also having  $11.94 million in marketcap. Can you see it is not a coin to be compared with ethereum or litecoin, not to talk of comparing it with bitcoin.

The coin that is likely, that is even now like competing with ethereum is binance coin. It is competing with ethereum in every way through binance chain (BEP2), and now also through binance smart chain (BEP20), having lower transaction fee.

The fashion for creating coins that will replace bitcoin began in 2017
Read this thread
How Many Bitcoin Forks Are There? You will be surprised !!!
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221882

But if you believe that Gridcoin is the coin №1 , then buy it Grin
Ethereum is the backbone of the world's decentralized platform. There are currently no coins that offer the same freedom and decentralization.

Thank you.
You might have read an advertisement somewhere or heard this from a person who had invested in this shitcoin you are talking about.

First talking about bitcoin, Until now at least there is no replacement for Bitcoin, moreover what we see most of the other altcoins weren't even created with the purpose of acting as a replacement to bitcoin. The rest of them are mostly utility tokens very few were intended to be a currency.

Talking about the whole crypto space as of today there are 9249 altcoins and almost every developer of each of these coins thinks that they would beat Ethereum one day. Most of the alts market is about creating a utility token which honestly most of the coins have never been able to do so far. EOS, Tron, Ethereum, and many others have the same concept. When a coin gives better utility than these it can obviously beat it someday. But as of today, I see no near competitor. At least Gridcoin definitely isn't coming in this league anytime soon.

The market is more important than technology?
If you like this coin, create your ANN on the forum and tell us about all the advantages and technology of your coin.
You can write a link in this thread if you edit the first post.
Your posts look very ridiculous when you try to compare shitcoin to an unknown coin.
This useless argument will hurt you and your coin.

No!
It's just another coin that was supposed to deliver revolutionary technology and failed miserably although it had years to show what is capable of as the coin was actually launched in 2013.
But in the end, it was just another out of thousands that will spend in remaining time doing pump and dumps on shady exchanges.

The market is more important than technology?

Technology? What technology?
Everything was borrowed from something else but they've failed to address the most important thing, why use it?

Bitcoin has no replacement, because no coin is decentralized as bitcoin, all of them are a bit not decentralized, but bitcoin is totally decentralized.

What do you mean by that? As much as I dislike shitcoins LTC and DOGE for example ar just as decentralized as BTC.

Hello,

Nope, do you have any idea how many altcoins have tried to replace Bitcoin or tried to be the Next Bitcoin? Hundreds!  Cheesy

EOS and Tron are Ethereum replacement?
For the past few years they have been in existence, just like NEO both EOS and TRON have failed to live up to the hype miserably. I don't think they will even be able to make it to the 10 top again

The market is more important than technology?
Would Bitcoin be where it is today without any demand for it?

Bitcoin and Ethereum touch their new all time highs and they will have more new all time highs. Look at their big successes, scammers will try to impersonate Bitcoin or Ethereum to get rich at lightning speed.

They do simple tasks, copy and paste source codes of Bitcoin or Ethereum. Name a promising name for their shit coin and try to use prefixes of Bitcoin, Ethereum.

They hire some writers to polish their Whitepaper, Roadmap, shill their projects on social medias. Many greed victims will invest into their scam projects. You can imagine how such investments will end up with.

I think it much better if you used the "alternative" term than "replacing".
Those coins you mentioned are OGs and already proven that they are the best, Bitcoin the king (highest market cap) and Ethereum second highest market cap, which these two got different specialty, payments for Bitcoin and smart contracts for the Ethereum.

Don't be deceived by a heavily overpriced altcoin season. This happens every now and then, but never has sustainability. No, nothing will replace Bitcoin unless a tech proves to do a better job than BTC, and so far we've had so many dozens of thousands of coins yet about all of them are literally failures.

Ethereum will probably lose its rank at some point. By which coin out of so many... who knows? The thing is, BTC will remain the No. 1.

It's highly highly HIGHLY unlikely for Bitcoin to be replaced in this case. It's simply so ahead of everything that a project that attempts to replace Bitcoin in the payments and SoV category is pretty much suicide.

Ethereum on the other hand; in the smart contracts category, while they're ahead of every smart contracts platform, they aren't THAT far ahead. There's a good likeliness that they will be replaced, or another alternative will take a huge sum of the pie.
