Bounty hunter who is a SCAMMER — sold tokens but did not deliver

What happened:

She approached me on Telegram and offered me 42 CLVA tokens for the price of 2USD each, which I accepted, and she duly delivered them. Then I bought some FRX tokens, which she also delivered correctly.

However, after having earned my trust with those transactions, I offered her 50USD cash in return for a payment of 70-90USD worth of Student coins in 12 weeks time, which she did not deliver.

Worse still, she proposed me a deal, which I accepted, where I would give her around 5000 tron (or 300USD equivalent at the time), and she would hand me the following tokens as soon as she received them:

"1.) 1200 GHOUL tokens
For the project https://poltergeistexchange.com/
2.) $100 in SwanFinance tokens
3.) MyIdentityCoin is still waiting for the final spreadsheet, maybe getting around $50
4.) 93 KeyTanggo, Current price 1 $Tango = $1,73611223"

I received none of those.

I gave her two weeks to reply, and I haven't received a single word from her, so I am now taking the necessary steps.

You can roast me all you want about how I should not have trusted her, and the deal was too good to be true.

However, I figure that the least I can do is to bring this issue publicly so that other people don't fall prey to the same kind of scam.

I'm not going to roast you but it's good that you admit that you are wrong dealing with a guy that you hardly know in telegram, this is a proof that dealing with people you hardly know and on telegram is too risky, hopefully, he can post here and resolve this issue to avoid getting tagged, he will lose his chance to participate again in bounty campaigns if proven that he scam you.

Yes, I really hope she loses the chance to participate in bounty campaigns.
At least this way there will be some kind of retribution for her wrongdoings.

If she has changed her mind about the deal, I am willing to negotiate.
But just disappearing like that and running away with my money is, of course, not acceptable.

I don't know if she has planned on deceiving me from the beginning, or if she realized that the deal was not worth it in the end and pulled out.
I am not here to make conjectures. I just want either a resolution to this conflict, or that the ensuing consequences befall upon her.

Did you ever contact her/him through PM on this forum, just to be sure that is the same person?
You need to post evidence like screenshots from your Telegram discussion and also something from your contacts over Bitcointalk. We need to be sure that we talking about the right user here before any tag, especially negative.

About your deal, you know that is usually a way of scam?
Emotional part as little personal introductions, building trust by making few small transactions and eventually a larger transaction before running away.

I notified him/her several times that I would make a public accusation, and gave him/her several weeks to reply. I got simply no reply from him/her, even though I could see that his last activity on this forum has been recent.

It's sad that you lost that amount of funds to the scammer. Next time try as much as possible to use a trusted escrow. Scammers can be crafty, they can first build your trust and then scam you later.

The account itself seems to have been stolen/sold sometime back. I have never seen an account registered in 2011 in this forum still doing 2021 bounties

I have to admit the way (s)he conducted the conversation was quite clever. Now that I re-read it, it's very clear to me that (s)he had the intent to deceive right from the start, and it wasn't simply something that just "happened", as I previously thought. (S)he really made sure that I was as comfortable as possible while I handed her/him my money like a little duckling. Oh well....

Anyway, now that it's all said and done, all that remains is to take the necessary action against this person.

I am not familiar with type 1 and type 2 flags, but I will research about it.

I had never had of Escaroo, but we do have trusted members here who have been acting as escrows for years. Check out this list and pick your favorite. You can also read through the thread discussion and check their individual announcement threads for a clear understanding of the terms and conditions.

escaroo seems to charge 3% while most of the members in the list just charge 1%

The guy obviously know that you are not aware of the escrow, or he will recommend it, and once he got your trust he will deal with a big amount, those first deals are meant to get your trust for a much bigger deal, anyway the scammer has not login for the past 6 days he is now tagged and he cannot use this account to participate in bounty campaign, this is a lesson learn for you and a warning for those who will read this thread.

Telegram itself isn't even a safe place to be staying on, I mean it is the scammers paradise so if you are expecting something different then you are probably going to be proven wrong in a days notice. Try to avoid contacts with Telegram at all because you never know what's going to get you and overall, you should probably be careful who you are meeting online as they might not be who they really are IRL.

Its not advisable to deal with people without having an escrow since the result will it up a scam the same on what happen to him if he approach those people who send him a pm and offer something. This is repeatedly scamming scenario which still happen until these days so hopefully other will learn a lesson from his mistake.
