I hope so but im not yet seeing any impact caused by berlin update that already executed recently. The decentralization of ethereum is good but at the same time this makes ethereum a bit difficult to implement the solution to fix the scalability problem.
I think that there's another reason just like ethereum is quite simple to be used to build dapps but binance is also adopting the mechanism that used by ethereum.
Both were almost the same platform at this moment. The only thing that makes both different were decentralization.

So I don't think there is any good comparing ethereum to BSC these days. BSC looks superior.

I have some thread or tweet on twitter there has some issue on PancakeSwap, BSC transaction reached 1 million block delayed on PancakeSwap. This problem could be same as ETH with transaction problem make some AMM exchange build on BSC was also got the problem as well.

Still waiting for ETH 2.0 will be solved gas issue or not.

Bsc looks good now because it is cheap compared to Ethereum nothing else but that.
scaling? do you know something happened too with Binance chain a few days ago causing the transaction to be backlogged for a few hours? centralization is not needed at all, unless you are looking for censorship.

I've seen projects running on BSC right now but having ETH 2.0 smart chain on their roadmap, the truth is many projects can still switch back to ETH in near future, I don't believe that BSC is the end of ETH, the future looks brighter for Ethereum

ETH and BSC are two different blockchains, but the bridge of BSC is 100% compatible with ETH and everyone can use the same wallet address.
ETH has developed DAPP on its blockchain with hundreds of different projects. It beds as a more mature ecosystem, a larger community, and more decentralized despite the high transaction costs at present. BSC looks fresh, costs less and gets better hype.
I noticed that BSC is just a copy of ETH with low transaction costs. Maybe it inherits ETH's downsides. In the future, what will developers develop on BSC to enrich BSC's ecosystem?
I hope ETH can upgrade its blockchain for greater cost reduction and scalability. If they fail, it would mean the end of ETH's dominance over altcoins.

Of cos I don't expect any impart from Berlin update as it's just the road to london fork which is the real thing here, beeping update isn't responsible for lowering eth gas fee, it's just the key to making london fork a possibility

Well, for me, I think every one before me have said that which I had in mind to say, but I will still say, binance chain is highly centralized while Ethereum is not, and I think that its due to Ethereum decentralization that made it difficult for the developers to find a permanent solution to the high transaction fees issues, even the berlin fork which happened I think yesterday even made the high fees worst from my observation, I've always said it and I will still say it again, Ethereum(ETH) would have been worth far more than what it's currently worth but due to the high fees, alot of projects moved to binance chain which is what gave BNB the value it currently have, if Evantually Ethereum is able to solve its high transaction costs issues,, I believe bnb would never be worth close to what eth will be worth in the future.
And the answer the question directly now, Ethereum is decentralized while binance chain is highly centralized, and dapps are easier to build on Ethereum blockchain more than it is to build same dapp on binance chain.

Maybe we have to wait for at least 5 years and see how BSC performance and then have to compare it to ETH. It could now that people are appreciating BSC as the ETH gas fee is really high but I don't know if these people will keep using BSC once the fees issues will be resolve. I was still expecting these people will turn back using and investing ETH again.
Honestly, I still choose ETH even I was badly disappointed with the fees.

There are some people that still after all this time haven't learned anything. Centralization is a major problem when we are talking about digital currencies.
The results of centralized digital currencies before Bitcoin are what these guys have to learn about.

It is very obvious at times that CZ hasn't studied cryptocurrencies very well and doesn't understand why decentralization is of utmost importance. I don't like making grim predictions, however I won't be using Binance or the Binance Chain and feeling "safu".

BSC is only a support network on the ETH network AFAIK, and also they had a compatible network that everyone can use by transferring assets.

For me, these are the reasons why ETH is better than BSC.

• ETH has a thousand active system validators
• ETH is completely more decentralized compared to BSC.
• ETH is good to keep as an assets

It might the reason is the gas fee of ETH people switching to BSC, once this might be solved on ETH2.0, it will probably back to normal for the BSC.

Obviously, BSC is not the end of Ethereum, even now the price of Ethereum still tends to go up when the problem of transaction fees is still not resolved and is still very high at the moment, so in general BSC and ETH are two very wise choices to use in the crypto space.

Indeed, every project will come into this market to be claimed as the better version of Ethereum.  But those won't be able to do so and ethereum will be in its position though it might get some problems which is just temporary. BTW, other projects could become a rival of etherem by doing extra innovative development along with smart contracts, IMHO.

Do you even know when Eth 2.0 will launch? Nobody knows exactly when so it's not the "immediate solution". Berlin hardfork went live yesterday and the improvements there includes fixing the gas. The next upgrade will be the London hardfork which is expected to go live on July. The controversial EIP1559 will be activated on that day.

But if the adoption (BSC) is growing compared to (ETH), it could be that ETH will get a serious threat from the BSC.

It's already a threat to Ethereum that's why they are trying to fix the gas issue as soon as possible.

I think the only reason for the popularity of BSC is its low gas fee.  If Ethereum's gas fee decreases, it will return to its previous position.  Then everyone will leave BSC and run towards ETH. Because ETH is a coin trusted for many years.
